So what do we think of the title now?

Back when 'Skyfall' was first being bandied around as a potential title, I seem to recall that it was mostly met with hostility. 'Boring', 'Childish', 'Not very Fleming'. I personally felt that it sounded more appropriate for a Young Bond novel. Somewhat inevitably, I've warmed to it immensely. For me, 'Skyfall' is a sharp, succinct, catchy title. How about you guys - have you warmed it it? Or did you like it all along?

I for one, liked the title, not too wordy like " The World is Not Enough or Tomorrow Never Dies etc!
To me, it's in the same line as classic's like Thunderball.

I didn't think Skyfall sounded Bondian when I first heard it... but it's grown on me.

It makes a change from the normal Bond sounding titles.... and I think it's a great tie in with what is/could happen.

I like it now, and no doubt will like it even more once I've seen the movie -{

I didn't have a problem with it, other than to say it sounded like a pastiche of Thunderball. I'm all for tradition, but some of the "homages" to the original series really come across more as a lack of creativity.

I like it. It rolls off the tongue & is easy to remember. But I also liked QUANTUM OF SOLACE as a title, too. And anything with DIE in it.

I'm easily pleased.

I've always liked the title SKYFALL, it sounds very much like a Fleming title in a similar vein to MR with the one word being comprised of a place and an action. I've read that in the film it represents a place but I'm still rather hoping it's also going to be a clever reference to that old fairy tale about the farmyard animals believing the sky was going to fall on their heads that lead to the fox being able to eat them, I think handled well that concept would make a strong storyline (though maybe not with the talking animals!).

I have to say that I always loved Skyfall right from the start. When it comes to Bond movies, I'm a big fan of the shorter, more succinct titles like Dr. No, Thunderball, Moonraker, Licence to Kill, GoldenEye, etc. I thought Skyfall sounded very Fleming-esque and very Bond-ian. Plus it had an air of mystery, which I also like.

As time has gone on, it's only grown on me even more.

That's my problem, it doesn't sound like the kind of name a Scottish estate would have... I'm hoping there's a better meaning that will become apparent, otherwise I'm afraid I'm a bit indifferent, perhaps even disappointed, about it (I'm sure the same won't be true of the film though!)

Yes, I think it is neat, succinct, non-elaborate - just like much of the simplicity of the film itself (when it moves to Scotland, at least).

So what do we think of the title now?
