Skyfall is set to become the most successful Bond film and make more than $1 billion dollars (£622 million) at the box office, according to the article below at The Telegraph. Jane Crowther, editor-in-chief of Total Film magazine is quoted. "Nostalgia for Bond is at such a high now surrounding the anniversary. It (Skyfall) is a film that invites repeat viewings with it's complex and rich script and performances. I think it has taken lessons from Dark Knight and, therefore, could do just as well in it's takings."
Roger Moore has predicted that Skyfall is going to be a huge hit following a private screening on Saturday morning. He also said that Daniel Craig will go down as the best Bond in history, and that he used to write letters of support to him.

RM is such a great ambassador for the franchise. No matter how you rank his films one has to acknowledge he has done more personally for the franchise than any of the other actors. Long live the '70's & '80's OO7! -{

Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention, but has Bond's sexuality ever been at issue? I'm curious because of this Yahoo article in which the author states:
"Since there's been speculation on the web for a years now about whether Bond will ever pump more than hot lead into another man, I asked Craig at the press conference if his character was bluffing when he used this line with Bardem's Silva."

I think their is some people who think everyone is bi or gay to help promote their personal views or agenda. But I think one would be hard pressed in the 50 years of film plus the Flemming, Gardner, Benson... novels to come to the honest conclusion that Bond is bi. 8-) Though I do hear he makes a mean quiche so who knows :007) )

I think that article writer was reading into it what they wanted to. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and interpretations. Bond is full of witticism, so of course he would crack a joke in that situation. Just like the "I've got a little itch...down there" from CR. It's a poker game, it's his bluff. Anyone who fundamentally understands the character understands that.
The reviews for 'Skyfall' are truly staggering. I don't remember the last Bond film to make the news just for receiving such a great reception. Gunbarrel quibbles aside, we almost definitely have a classic on our hands.

And Iam going to see him this Friday, second greatest day of my life
This review is from a German online newspaper.
It is complete in German but you can translate it via google, but you should really avoid it if you want not knowing the end. Because it tells you the complete story plot and how skyfall ends. http://m.diepresse.com/home/kultur/film/filmkritik/1302437/index.do
Certainly very positive reviews....but for those who may not know, the NY Daily News is pretty much a trashy tab these days.
The reviewer for scottsman.com seemed to look down his nose a bit at Bond/action films in general and was usuing the review to write what he believes is some sort of entertaining social commentary.
I actually look forward to read the reviews of the folks who contribute to AJB after I see the film for myself. -{
The first review from Ain't It Cool News is up; generally positive though not as glowing as others I've come across. Interestingly, the things in the movie that the reviewer didn't seem to like or agree with make it sound as though this entry may actually be more up my alley than the last couple of films. Fingers officially crossed...
Empire Magazine has posted a Skyfall Spoiler Podcast with a run time just under 44 minutes. Discussed (amongst other things) are plot quirks, favourite lines, and potential might have been cast rumours.

Sir Roger Moore: "Daniel Craig Is The Best James Bond Ever"

Roger is such a class act and a great man. If it were not for him and his long successful run, we probably wouldn't be watching new Bond films.
Besides, who can argue with the guy who was lucky enough to be Bond in the film with the best theme ever - TSWLM?
