I believe it's a Dovo or Puma, they have some in similar design/color combination. But it's to early to tell without a good close up. Almost every cut throat razors has the same design. I use a Dovo myself, and looks like the one Bond uses.

The top one "stock reference 101581" looks very close.

This one looks very close too http://www.pumaknives.de/dispitem_122.php?item_no=936200

As you can see, they look almost identical. It can be hard to identify the right one, but after seeing Skyfall for the third time, my money is on one of these two.

If you want to be sure to get the correct one, then you might need to wait for the Blu-ray/DVD release. Then we can get some close-ups :).

Both Dovo and Puma are very well known brands with the high quality Bond demands ;).

I'm quite sure it had a black handle. But I will go see the movie tomorrow, then i'll keep an eye out for it and watch closely to be sure what color it has.

Going from memory, I believe it had this shape blade and 3-pin pattern on the handle

There is a forum called the straightrazorplace.com they have discussed it quite a bit over there.
here is the entry with the most info
The IMDB entry says that the razor was a rubber prop, and indeed, it had no visible markings. But the model was good. Probably about 5/8, half-hollow, round point, three-pin scales. I know little about modern production razors, but it seemed pretty Dovo-ish, if Dovo made any half-hollow blades (do they?). I'm guessing it was as thick as it was so it wouldn't bend onscreen. She really used it to scrape off lather. And I agree, the technique looked uncommonly good!
hope this helps. most dovos are pretty elaborate. and bonds seemed rather plain. There are lots of vintage razors out there at antique shops and quite a few pros out there that can get your vintage razor ready to shave again for like 20 bucks or less. i my self use a very similar vintage razor but mine is ivory. here is what i am shaving with. i am also using a silver tip badger brush with a custom handel and a bowl i found for 50 cents at the thrift store.

Has anyone seriously used a cutthroat razor? I bought an inexpensive bowl of shaving soap from Boots in late December, and have used that along with the wetshave razor I've always used, plus a shaving brush I've had for years but never used. So far though I haven't really considered using a cutthroat razor.. Though it looks pretty cool in Skyfall.

So any tips or thoughts would be welcome :)

I regularly use a Gillette Slim with a single blade, you can become over confident using it, I did and almost took my ear off :)) so if you are considering a cutthroat go slow, and don't attempt to shave your b@lls :D

    I use a Gilette Contour:

Is there much difference between a cutthroat, a slim (non-swivel head) and a contour (swivel head)?

Danjaq - I nearly cut my b@lls off laughing when I read your post. Quite hard to do with a Gillette Contour too :))

Yes, how easy is it to shave with a cut throat razor? Obviously it's not something you would do in a rush for work in the morning, but for a beginner and taking time over it (and without a beautiful assistant to help!) how easy is it to master? Am I likely to decapitate myself? :))

Forgot to add I went with this razor for my first step into DE Shaving (simply because of general reviews and price)

Bought sample pack of various blades to experiment, cut muself a few times but getting the hang of it after years with the good old Gillette's I get every Xmas

I had heard that the safety razor is a good compromise between a normal razor and a cut throat one, so I might give it a try.
