Pre-Title Sequence (Spoilers)

I did a quick search and I couldn't find a topic specifically about the pre-title sequence in Skyfall. I had quite a lot of thoughts about it, so I thought I'd create such a topic! This topic has the spoiler alert over it, so don't read if you haven't seen the film (really don't spoil it for yourself, you'll regret it)!
Obviously there's <SPOILER!!!!!> no gun barrel sequence, but there is a separate topic to discuss this so we'll probably leave that there.
I thought the sequence was really exciting, but not perfect: I thought it was a little too ambitious, with a car chase, a bike chase on rooftops, a train-top chase (including digger destruction!) and a one on one fight; I was left wondering what would happen in the film! Of course the rest of the film had plenty of scope to outdo the PTS but at the time I thought it was a bit too much.
I also thought the tone was slightly different from the rest of the movie: it was the kind of "gritty" (hate that word) action in a slightly less-than-glamorous location that we have become used to with modern action films (like Bourne/MI), but which I don't think is characteristic so much of Bond. Of course the rest of the film featured the casinos and the yachts etc and it was about Bond's coming of age (as it were) so I suppose the difference in tone is appropriate...
But what do you think? Did you feel there were any other issues with the PTS?

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.

PTS, Although keeping it realistic as in Craigs earlier films.
All I can say is I enjoyed it, well thought out and exciting. Some brilliant stunt work.
Really got the Movie Off to a good start. -{
Totally agree TP - I thought it was right up there with being the best PTS tbh. Had everything that I'd want & set the movie up perfectly IMO.
