They look pretty good, although personally I don't like the different coloured section (leather?) running up the back. H&M had something similar last summer - great boots but for the addition at the back.

I just noticed today that Hush Puppies have released 'new' desert boots in four colours with crepe sole (look the same as last years to me, but...):

    http://www.hushpuppies.com/UK/en-GB/Product.mvc.aspx/18418M/40849

I've got some dark brown Ryder III-like boots so might go for a black pair of these.

The difference I've noticed between the Hush Puppies and, say, Clarks, are the back of the heel/ankle: the Clarks are perfectly vertical whereas the HPs are more of a natural shape and therefore stay on better - when I tried the Clarks my foot was walking out of the boot.

I FOUND ONE PROBLEM. There is one additional, horizontal stitching on the back on these I posted comparing to the ones Dave has. Every other single detail is correct, so the question is if this is an updated model of the boots (something La Perla made with the Maurilio trunks for example...) or is it the same model, but for example it has this little detail different in the East European market.

All right, today four pairs of the boots arrived for four members here that were interested in these. What a terrible situation, I'm a fair member so I will say it in public: they sent me the wrong shoes, in the wrong, STONE color, that was mentioned before as the second, wrong one. The only good thing is, that this time these shoes came with a tag on them. So, just to prevent you from buying these in the future, this is the tag number of the wrong color shoes: 5257/002/004

Still working out how to get the money from them, they don't accept returns so I'm caught in crossfire: I can't return the money to the ajb007 members, because I don't have the money from the warehouse, and because of the fact of being a 22 year old I don't also have that much money on on my bank account.

I'm just posting this to prove that I'm fair and that I respect all the members here, sorry for this stupid, terrible situation, will try to make everything right in this what I can.

The warehouse decided to accept the return finally, so all four members will have their money back within a week or something. Uff, quite a relief. And there is another thing: I found a contact who claims that he has access to the Zara warehouses in Spain! That's where all the over stock is from previous collections as far as I know. There might be a chance, but very small of course, that he will find the correct ones that Davis Zaristky has :) I will keep you all posted, but I guess that's to good to be true.

...glad that it worked out for you bro'. That was a bad situation.

Bad is not a good word for this situation. The best part was when the warehouse was shouting BUT THESE BOOTS NEVER CAME IN ANOTHER COLOR (after I told them that the pictures they provided were suggesting the caramel ones).

    Yea. Right.

"My contact" told me I would have this information today, but he said that because of some problems he will give me the info on Monday. Fingers crossed, but honestly - I haven't seen these on eBay or anywhere else, so I doubt he will help... Chances are really small. On the other hand I manage to find Air Articulates II from time to time, which were 6 years ago on the marked... Damn, time flies, Casino Royale was made nearly 7 years ago! O.o

That's right, but I wasn't completely sure with one number (I had a thought it could be 362 not 302) but now I'm sure.

As for the money: all members except one have the money back, check your PayPal accounts. ;)

Fwiw, I was in the clarks store today to check out the desert boot. I tried on a pair in taupe, and liked them so much I bought a pair in oakwood and one in brown. These are the most comfortable, coolest looking casual shoes I own. Highly recommended.

Not very 'budget' but just picked up these Crockett & Jones version ( the 'Chiltern' ) - liked the color, they are very comfy & they have crepe soles...

Now look what I tracked down today.

    image.jpg
    image.jpg

It has all the details that David's Zara boot has. I found the correct Skyfall model with all the screen accurate details, it's just in the "stone" colour. Size EU43, PM if interested. Angry as hell these are not 45 at least, I would keep them for myself. :/

Again, contact me if interested! :) I'm reminding you that this is the actual boot seen in Skyfall with screen accurate details.

I also really like Clarks, however they are a bit too narrow for me. A few years ago I found the best alternative so far. The Clarks Original Pretty Green special edition. They are a bit wider than normal Clarks and made of very smooth suede. Because it is a special edition I bought 2 pair of brown ones and one pair of champagne colored. About a year ago I bought a black pair of desert boots by MERC London. They are a bit stiffer but still very good shoes. They can be had in a lot of different colors and cost around € 50,- online. Retail price is stated as € 125,-

I have a few CJ and Church boots however also picked up a second pair of Clarks Desert boots (in as closest to the Zaras)

They are very comfy and great for the money, I did look at the Zara deserts a while back (wrong colour) and to be honest didnt think too much of them
