My training jacket arrived yesterday. Just in time for my birthday tomorrow.
I purchased it weeks ago and the version without the logo as there was some debate if the MI6 crest was accurate or not (it said on the website it wasn't correct).
I'm a medium but I order a small and it fits perfectly.
I was just wondering if as any one created the accurate crest at all to get it embroided on?
just came from H&M and exchange my peacoat that i had for the more screen accurate version and i must say, im very pleased! plus i saved a ton of money exchanging it
Thanks, I managed to find one from primark of all places and just had these silly straps removed from the cuffs, apart from the larger collar/lapels it looks pretty similar! i also purchased a black v neck jumper and grey trousers from gap, so I've managed to put together a decent frugal shanghai outfit
I wore my new COS shirt and tie, along with a black cashmere V neck (which I already owned), to a New Years Eve party last night. I got lots of complements! That tie really has a nice texture to it. My Bond girl also was sporting the Skyfall silver OPI nail polish. -{

Bit of a cheat as none of it is SA, so belongs more in the Budget Alternatives thread, but here's my take on the Lodge outfit:
Coat - Barbour Truefit, £174 (it's blazer style similar to the Tokito)
Cords - Banana Republic, black slimfit, £20
Jumper - Gap, Teal Cotton Cashmere, £20 in the sale (£30 at the moment)
Henley - Superdry, £30
Scarf - Debenhams, brown herringbone, about £12
Watch - Omega Seamaster (Brosnan era!)
Boots - model's own ) )

A pair of Acne Wall Street shark came in the mail today but I need to have them hemmed. They are truly very nice quality slacks, I will get another pair or two at some point. The ones in the pic are close-ish.

I am not far off completing my Lodge outfit thanks to this forum. Have to say a big thanks to all the members on here who have contributed to the various threads on the Skyfall clothing especially Mr Zaritsky - top man. I am am not sure that my bank manager is too impressed though! )
Have a SA medium To Ki To sports jacket (love it!), the All Saints Henley in chalk, All Saints Iggy Corduane jeans (originally beige but now dyed woodland brown) and the N Peal. A big thanks to Nico (richmenstoys) from here who kindly sold me his spare XS N Peal. An absolute star and a pleasure to deal with!
Sadly no Tom Ford cashmere scarf, but have a cheap brown one coming from eBay.
No Islays yet - I decided to go for the Grenson Fred with the commando sole. I was lucky to pick them for £150 from Goodstead before they went bust. Highly recommended - they may not be as sleek as the Islays, but I find them incredibly practical due to the commando sole. I have done two ten mile walks on various terrain and they have held up really well and are pretty comfortable.
Pics (maybe to follow) once the scarf arrives and I alter it.
If anyone has a Billy Reid in small or medium that they want to sell in the UK in the future - PM me. I may well be interested. I had actually bought one on eBay, but the sale fell through due to the seller. Funny as the same coat has miraculously been sold again by a different eBay member (probably the same seller) for £100 more. Typical.
Oh, and one random bit of trivia - I work in the building that the Shanghai scenes were shot - well at least the shooting of the security guard, DC going up the escalator towards the lifts and I believe part of the fight sequence. Not sure where the actual lifts were filmed but a different building.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive so will let you know. I'd ordered a while back but asked them to hold the order till they had the new logo.
