Comparing the other James Bond, 007 actors to Daniel Craig......

If you were to put a young Sean Connery, a young George Lazenby, and a young Timothy Dalton into a blending machine; would Daniel Craig come out the other side?

I'm only asking this question because to me it seems like Daniel Craig has more in common with Sean, George, and Tim than he does with Roger Blur *ahem* Moore and Pierce "Remington Steele" Brosnan.

This is more like the equation:

(Sean Connery + George Lazenby + Timothy Dalton) minus (Roger Moore + Pierce Brosnan) = Daniel Craig

( Sean Connery + Roger Moore ) = Pierce Brosnan
Poor Old Daniel Craig will always be Timothy Dalton Mark 2
    ( to me at least ) ;)

If you were to put a young Sean Connery, a young George Lazenby, and a young Timothy Dalton into a blending machine, I would say they had a lot of guts. :D

And what came out the other side would not be pretty......Speaking of Daniel Craig. :D

But seriously. I do not compare Craig with the others, he is in a category all by himself. Whereas Sean Connery defined the "Classic Bond" Craig has now defined the "re-booted Bond".

I would dare say that Pierce Brosnan has a bit more of a Roger Moore, James Bond, persona than a Sean Connery one. I just don't see a lot of Sean Connery in Pierce Brosnan. Not to mention that Pierce still had some Remington Steele in him that he couldn't shed...Also I believe that Daniel Craig has the physicality of a George Lazenby, that Pierce Brosnan lacked.

Yes but Daniel Craig actually looked like he knew how to fight and he knew how to fight well. :p

But Brosnan is a lover not a fighter. Which should be far more frightining.
With Craig the only place you'll get a Fist is in the face :))

They never could be more like Sean Connery, whom was a lover and a fighter.

I think Brozzer did ok, I really liked what he did in the Bankers office, and the fight with 006 is a classic. He was less 'block-slap-block slap' than the current style, but had some interesting techniques e.g. that thing with the tie and knife in Twine was very cool. He was not quite as overtly physical as DC, or as kinetic, but as TP points out he was taller :-)
I sometimes find the bone hard as nails little Terrier that is Daniel a tad over done and strangely un-Bondian. True Bond did compile a compendium of unarmed combat techniques, but he is described as a tenacious and capable fighter. More Commander than Commando if you will.

Brosnan was great. There's a certain revisionism going about recently that Brosnan was lacking in many ways when in reality his main problem was that they kept force feeding him so many retorts & one liners I surprised someone didn't make foie gras out of HIS liver. :s
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.
