Pierce Brosnan goes all Arnold Swarchenegger

I've never heard this discussed before, but it's something that's always been on my mind ever since I first saw DAD in 2002.

When Pierce Brosnan says the line "The same person has set me up again to get Zao out, so I'm going after him", he sounds like the terminator. Particularly when he says the words "after him". The accent sounds very arnold-like during that one and only sentence. I still hear it even today, whenever I watch DAD.

Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think it was deliberate?

Think it's brossa's subtle Irish accent tbh.

I agree I have found many hidden references to Arnold. Like in TND when Bond cuts his arm open to reveal a robotic arm from Q branch. Then in TWINE he looks over at M and says "I'll be back" before going after the sub. The only one I found strange was during the sex scene with Jinx when Bond says "It is not a tumor" I found inappropriate

If you link Brosnan sounds odd in that scene then watch 'Taffin' were his accent seems to switch from Irish to american at will :))
