End The Film On A Laugh...

I think the topic title was a quote attributed to Cubby Broccoli when he once reeled off the things needed to make a successful Bond film. Anyone noticed how all Craig's films tend to end on a cliffhanger or at least the feeling of unfinished business instead? It seems the age-old tradition of Bond making merry with his leading lady & a couple of naughty quips before the fade-out has gone, for this current actor at least.

Is it good or bad to alter things? Good if the situation's forced (DIE ANOTHER DAY, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH), bad if it's pleasingly amusing (THE SPY WHO LOVED ME). I must say, the "Keeping the British end up" line is one of my favourites.

I'm still waiting for Craig to end one of his films in bed with a lady. Seems like everyone he goes to bed with
