Can anyone track down the rooftop scarf!?

Hi Guys been trying to look in to finding the scarf craig wears on the rooftop with the tom ford overcoat its a dark grey colour. People have said apparently its from libertys but could be any brand closest thing i found was: http://www.liberty.co.uk/fcp/product/Liberty/SCARVES/Charcoal-Fringed-Cashmere-Scarf/80536
Best picture i found was: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/tvmagazine/4610791/Double-oh-Heaven-Skyfall-review.html

If anyone could help hunt this down would be great suprised most people have forgotten about it.

I don't know if it's the same scarf- but I came across the Tom Ford one from Quantum that they only made 10 of them! I also came across the Tom Ford tie too! They are great pieces, if you can afford them! If you're interested, let me know, and I'll reach out to the guy.

Tout keeps claiming this, it's not true. They are definitely very rare now that it is of a past season, but there were more than 10 of each scarf and tie made.

I'm sorry I don't know the exact one featured in the movie, but I picked up a plain grey scarf at H&M for $10 that was a suitable alternative for me. It may even work for a filler until you find a real one. Cheers

Believe it is made by Libertys of London however prob something you have to buy instore and bear in mind also a scarf from last season. Think this really needs somebody to contact the store or visit

Hi just wondering about the identity of this scarf. I noticed on another thread you bought some. I would be grateful to know what make / model. Cheers.

Nice find, but I thought that the scarf was made by Liberty London!? Can someone confirm that it is the Johnston's plain cashmere scarf?

I have a Johnston's scarf in light grey and find it is a bit short to look like the London scarf. In the rooftop scene and pictures online, Bond has his top coat button undone and the scarf still reaches to the middle button to be tucked in.

Does anyone else who owns a Johnston scarf think the same, that it's too short?

Liberty London does stock the Johnston scarf. I was there a few month's ago but couldn't find any plain wool Liberty branded scarves in the Men's department.

I have done a lot to find this, it was said the scarf was bought from liberties not that it was made by them.
I looked at all the brands liberty sells and did searches on each, spoke with their buyers sent them photos and they suggested a Ralph Lauren scarf which I also have and I think the johnstons one is long enough.

So this has been going on for months

I have the Tom for overcoat arriving in the next week or so, so I will post some pics with both

Jany told us it was a Liberty London scarf. The thing is, Liberty London shop is selling Johnston's scarves... That's the point I guess.

Yes, she left open the question of whether the scarf was made by Liberty London or just bought from Liberty London and made by some of the various brands they are selling.

Light grey not mid grey, Ross?

This was the largest picture I could find: http://movies.inquirer.net/files/2012/08/Skyfall_DCraig_London.jpg
So, if Bond is wearing Johnston's plain scarf, then I would assume it is the mid grey one.

I agree the mid grey is the closest although after seeing it in real life, to me I thought it was too dark. Would love someone else's opinion who has the mid grey.

I myself bought a Johnston's in light grey only because my coat is already dark grey and and was too similar to the scarf. But if I had a navy overcoat like the picture I would have gone the mid grey.

I bought both the mid grey and light grey, the light grey is to light.

I have the Johnstons scarf and when tying it in a loop (like he does in Skyfall) I also think its too ends up too short

For anyone who doesn't have it, the Johnston's scarf is 160cm long (excluding the fringe details).

I think the one on screen has to be about 200cm or longer to be able to tuck it in like he does, when done in a loop.

    Thanks for the updates gents.
I, too, was debating for a long time between the Johnstons and the Dents.

    http://www.dents.co.uk/products/180/Men's-Cashmere-Scarf.asp

In the end, I went for the Johnstons Mid Grey because I remember Libertys selling Johnstons scarves. I am not disappointed. Glad to see that I may have been right.

I saw a Cashmere grey Tom Ford scarf on eBay about 6 months ago that looked identical to the roof top scarf however did not think too much about it since I believed it was not Tom Ford (I was still tempted to buy it but forgot all about it)

Anyhow today I came across an online GQ article where Jany states it was indeed Tom Ford hence a bit of contradictory information - it made me remember this scarf and if indeed it was the one.

Yes the Grey Tom Ford Scarf is now in my possession :) They originally said it was bought in Libertys so it would either of been Ralph Lauren or Libertys own make or Johnstons.
I originally thought it was Johnstons but was not aware someone had now said it was TF.

Cool. Did you grab it off eBay a while back?

Yeah think Jany made a mistake as GQ confirms TF

She just confirms that the lodge scarf is Tom Ford.
On gq.com,gq.uk Bad esquire. But no words about the rooftop scarf.
