i have both alphagents and the RPF version of the cufflinks. The RPF version is close to the screen original in the sense they have 2 discs joined by a chain. Unfortunately on the second day of wearing the ring on the blank side of the chain has separated and the 2 sides have come apart. Fixed with a pair of pliers but I think i might drop some solder or something on to it to stop it happening again.

alpha agents have the T bar so this issue wont arise.

the other thing is that the text is far clearer on Alphagents version of the links.

    Price?

i prefer the T-bar myself just bc i dont want to be disappointed when one of the cufflinks gets separated by the chain. it gets the job done and screen look done for me and im completely satisfied.
    Shocking...

Thanks Mark, I honestly have been humbled by the reaction you guys have given me and by the people I have met on this forum, thank you! Incidentally those are my favourite second set, I think the purple and Gold look the business!

Did anyone notice them though, Paul??? ;)
I haven't worn my SF ones yet, but I did show someone and they didn't have a glue and said "...They're OK, I suppose" and then I explained what they were and the penny dropped ... And then all of a sudden they liked them! 8-)
    Best wishes,

I now have the three sets of Orbis cufflinks that I know to be available ( well, excluding the TFs... ) so I wanted to post them and let people compare. They all look great, and have some interesting variations that are worth highlighting - from there, it's all down to personal preference. I will post this in the other 'cufflink' threads too, as I'm not sure what the definitive one is...

First the Magnolis : The most 'accurate' given the double disk design, but it does make them more fiddly to put on - as others have pointed out, it's much easier to put them on first then slip your arm through the sleeve if you have enough room.

    image.jpg

Next the Alphas : The T-bar design makes them easier to use in a hurry. The slightly larger size makes the legend more visible then the other two pairs. The finish is more 'weathered'. Note, the design of these makes the coat of arms point at a right angle to traditional cufflink direction - this means it is easier to read by others when your arms are pointing straight down.

    image.jpg

Lastly the Hart008s - these have the practicality of the T-bar, and a smoother finish. Being slightly smaller the wording is less visible, although still clear up close. These point the traditional direction, so look sideways when viewed with arms hanging, but 'straight' if your arms are bent ( as at a desk for example ). A nice touch with these is the gift box that carries the crest, and a personalized certificate.

We've been getting a few requests for a version of our Skyfall Crest Cufflinks with a swivel back, to make them easier to put on. So, I thought of doing a run with the same style back as our Royale and Montenegro cufflinks:

Any possibility of previous customers being able to switch from the link version to the swivel back version

    You need a manservant.

We normally have a 10% restocking fee (which in this case wouldn't even cover the cost of shipping the replacement pair), plus the cost of shipping the original pair back to us... not sure if it'd be worth it. But if you don't mind the hassle, shoot me an e-mail and we can sort something out.

    Kind regards,
    Indy

You do know that the double-medallion version is sartorially preferred? And gives you a bargaining chip when your lady requires your services in zipping up her dress?
  • CRBCRB Posts: 483MI6 Agent
All I'll say is ... Have you ever tried these ?!
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
I'd much rather be unzipping her dress. :))
