Biggest Psychopath? Zorin or Orlov?

Perhaps the two biggest psychopaths in the bond movies, but who would you say is the most psychotic out of the 2?

It's close for me, but I think I'd go for Zorin...

Zorin on a personal level seemed more unhinged and was going to flood and shake a city, at least killing tens of thousands of people, however he needed the rest of the world intact to sell his eletronics to. Orlov was going to start WWIII.

Xenia Onatopp and Elektra King seemed to have obvious sociopathic traits as well.

I'd easily pick Zorin between those two. Orlov is nostalgic and delusional, but Zorin doesn't even wink when he kills someone... and he kills a lot of people in AVTAK.

Zorin's goal is personal, Orlov's motive is regaining Russia's power.

Therefore, Zorin is the biggest nutcase.

Tbh, I think Elliot Carver is more nuts as his aim is to start WWIII not for his country, but to gain broadcasting right for his own personal benefit.

Funny you should mention Elliot Carver, as I was actually tempted to include him in this thread too

To tell the truth, I see Carver as being deeper in the psycho rabbit hole than any other villain for the simple reason that he doesn't seem to have a realistic idea of what his ultimate goal entails for him. Plus he ranted more.

Well the reason for Eliot Carver trying to nuke Beijing and starting a naval/air battle that could cause WWIII was that the incumbant Chinese leadership slighted him, they humiliated him, they had the gall of saying no to him and his corporation setting up shop in the PRC! He couldn't have that!! :s X-(

Also do you think Bond has sociopathic traits, albiet borderline traits?

Zorin, I mean, he even laughs when he falls to his own Death!

Can you imagine what he would be like if David Bowie played him (Like he originally was supposed to) ?

I have a thread here asking pretty much the same question in a slightly gentler way...

But the answer is yeah, he has borderline sociopathic traits kept on a tight leash by his strict personal code IMO.

Well here is Hare's psychopathic/sociopathic checklist. Carver, Onatopp, Ms. King, Orlov, and Zorin clearly tick a lot of the boxes (and sociopaths tend to view their sexual partners like possessions, much like Elliot Carver did in regards to Paris Carver with tragic consequences, and Xenia Onatopp had an unhealthy need for dangerous stimulation when she was introduced recklessly racing a sports car around mountain roads).

James Bond, I'm sorry to say, seems to be on the same psychological spectrum, but not as dangerously far down it as the henchmen and villains he fights against.
