Roger Moore Aston Martin

Always wondered this...how come all the other actors who have played bond have drove an Aston Martin at least once in there series but roger Moore never did? Any reason why?

I think the producers made a point of Making Moore's Bond very Different from
Connery's. Hence why Moore never orders a "Shaken not Stirred " Martini.
Also as Moore's First Bond car had to double as a Submarine the Aston wouldn't
have worked. I'd say by the time of FYEO the Bond team had a good realationship with
Lotus and so another car was used.
With Dalton IMHO they tried to get Back to a Harder deged Bond closer to the Novels.
so Back came the Shaken Martinis and a Beautiful Aston Martin.
Now Bond is Linked to Aston Martin, So I'd say Bond will be driving new Astons for
    years to come.

He had an aston as templer, what Moore did he want? Greedy git.

Seriously though, I didn't think Aston were interested in the Bond connection during Moore's tenure?

Nah, he had a Volvo - you're thinking about "The Persuaders".

Sorry, my bad, dear old Rog, Sir Roger Moore (that ok for you Richard W?) was in so many spy things I get em all mixed up.

And indeed, the Volvo is cool.

Bond failed to keep up on the Mortgage Payments towards it, so the Bailiffs took it.

No Aston Martin for Roger Moore as Bond, but he did drive the DB5 in the Cannonball Run and the DBS in the TV series The Persuaders.

They were on a Lotus Esprit kick and wanted Moore Bond to be aas different from Connery/Lazenby Bond as was humanly possible. Just my two cents for what they're woprth to you...

And Bond mainly drove a Bentley in the novels - only later did he drive an Aston Martin DBIII in Goldfinger (1959).

It would be nice to see this fact reflected in the films apart from the spoof CR and NSNA.
