If Activision is letting go the Bond franchise, honestly I´m glad. They just didn´t have the intention of making the most of Bond games. On the opposite, they wasted every chance they had to release a good game, delivering worse games year after year, expecting to have sales by only getting the 007 logo on them.

I expected very much this games and at the beginning I defended them, but these are my final feelings. For me (just my opinion) the only decent was QoS because of it´s tight adaptation to Casino Royale and the fair multiplayer. Bloodstone passed but it´s grafics were pretty "unpolished". Goldeneye reloaded was the worst since EA Agent Underfire, a total ofense to its original version, they only wanted to take advantage of the name and made an awful adaptation of the movie to avoid copyrights issues by making all different from the movie including the actors faces, and the gaming experience was terrible. With the new 007 Legends, I was very happy to see many known faces from the six movies in a single game and a better gaming experience. But graphics were much inferior to the Call of Duty series (despite they are all Activision) what made really angry were those pathetic levels of Skyfall. The new film deserves better, there´s still chance to fix this, but no more from Activision.

I mean, Activision is currently releasing the best shooters: COD Modern Warfare and Blackops and the company was able to raise both franchises from the ground. Talking about a 007, the success is almost guaranteed because of its fame!!!! But this is exactly the reason of their failure, they just have relied on the name of the franchise.

To make myself more clear:

007 franchise + a game with the quality of COD = The new game of the decade

Or at least this is my appreciation, from my perspective every Bond game has the potential to be the new game of the decade, like goldeneye 64 was back on the 90´s. The only thing I asked is that Activision have put the same efforts on making a Bond game like they did on Modern Warfare and they would had simply been superior to all Halo, medal of Honor and COD itself !!!!!

I´m sorry if I am being too critic. But this has been very frustrating for me because it was Goldeneye 64 which got me into the world of Bond and I just want the same thing you want: good bond games that provide us hours of fun and that prove to be worth our money.

I think it´s time to let another company to develop games for 007, perhaps Ubisoft, Square Enix or even Bungie, but Activision definitely had their chance.

    Agree 100%

QoS I traded in before finishing.
Bloodstone I completed in a day and traded in.
Goldeneye Reloaded was horrible and traded in two days later.
I didn't even bother buying Legends. I just watched Legends play through on YouTube
and decided not to buy it. Plus it was the worst cover ever.

Compare this to Goldeneye for the N64. I'm still playing it now.
The only game that is better than Goldeneye is Modern Warfare 3.
Which I play with a sound mixer, so I listen to a 007 soundtrack as I play (currently Skyfall).
I also select the P99 silenced as my secondary weapon. Some of the level feel very very Bond.
There is a level called Santuary which basically the monastery from the end of FYEO.

I loved GoldenEye Reloaded, they changed just enough and in such a way that re-captured what made my like the story in the first place and told it using Craig's style of Bond. The hand to hand combat was great. The stealth was superb. The weapons were not a pain to use like in games like Call of Duty (which is odd since it's the same parent company).

Plus it's more realistic than COD, fire hurts in Reloaded, it doesn't in the COD games I've been unfortunate to play.

QoS was much, much more of a CoD clone than Reloaded as it was done by Treyarch. I think it is a shame that Eurocom closed it's doors, every Bond game they have done has been great.

I'm surprised by the CoD love here. I personally feel that series really lost creative steam after CoD 4. One, two, and four are the best to me and I stopped enjoying them mostly after that, though I still bought a few more anyways.

I think Bond was handled decently between QoS and Blood Stone. Those had more elegance and espionage than I've seen in CoD, which had great stealth in CoD 4, but didn't feel like Bond. That said, between EA's Nightfire and Everything or Nothing, Activisions games are a real disappointment.

I disagree with the practice of removing games from sale, though. Transfer the royalties if you must, but to remove the copies from sale is like erasing the opportunity and right of customers to acquire and play the games, or in the case of digital versions, re-acquire the game if they erased their copy.

It's not love from me, I was simply making comparisons between Reloaded, QoS and CoD. There are certainly things borrowed from CoD in both QoS and Reloaded, but I think these Bond games take them and make them work the way you would think they would in Call of Duty.

I mean Call of Duty is supposed to be a realistic military shooter, Bond is a fictional tale.....why is it then that things like fire can hurt you in Reloaded and can't on Call of Duty? There are other examples besides this but I will leave it with one.

My "love" for Call of Duty was ran over by a truck with Modern Warfail 2, Black Oops didn't help it either, but it was at least better than MW2, MW3......a $60 map pack for MW2. 4 and World at War were the last GOOD Call of Duty games.
