Anyone got one, got access to one or knows anyone who's got one of these at all?

Cheers,

It's a pretty solid carbine and will function if you keep it squeaky clean. It's VERY accurate. A friend has one and I have shot it. He says it jams every 300 rounds if not cleaned. However, you should be aware of two negatives that basically can't be corrected at all (sort of...one is more potential negative)...

    1) IF you shoot iron sights almost exclusively (like yours truly), you will hate the rear sight, which is a cheap plastic affair. If you have optics for the carbine, on the other hand, this shouldn't be problematic.
    2) The trigger pull. With ALL bullpup rifles, you have a heavier pull, true, but it seemed excessive on the G22 to me. Compared to things like the Ruger 10/22 heavy barrel and Browning Buckmark that offer similar accuracy, I don't think it's as good. Still, the trigger doesn't really creep; it's just plain heavy.

Also, stick with regular .22 LR ammo. If you try .22 Stinger or any other Minimags, you'll run into problems.

EDIT: Here in the US, there are many more bullpup style rifles available in the UK. With very few exceptions, there's never really been much demand for them because of the trigger pull. The US-made Steyr AUG clone, for example, has never sold out anywhere until recently. I shot one of those. It was nice, but I'd rather stick to my AR's and other, "action before trigger group" rifles. Quite frankly, my AK's and SKS's have better triggers (albeit with LOTS of creep). The only firearm I own with a heavier trigger than the AUG clones is my Nagant revolver. Likewise, if we're talking rimfire, the only thing with a heavier trigger than the G22 I own is a Jimenez Arms JA22 pistol (Jennings J-22 by another name).
By the way, are you gonna eat that?
