Atlanterhavsveien (Atlantic Oscean Road) has been called both the one of the most beautiful and dangerous roads in the world. It's clearly not very dangerous if one follows the restrictions on how fast you can drive and when, but it sure looks good. The Guardian claimed it was the best road trip in the world in 2006 (The Atrim Coast Road came in second ) . No James Bond movie (or any other movie I know of) has a car chase scene in this type of landscape. Filming a chase like that during a storm would be spectacular. There was a snow storm in OHMSS, but a driving scene in this landscape during a storm would be quite something.
According to MI6, pre-production has begun for Bond 25 and the latest rumored location is Dubrovnik in Croatia. Does look pretty amazing IMO. Also in MI6 according to a quote in "The Short List" (whatever the hell that is) attributed to Daniel Craig's pal Mark Strong, Craig is done with Bond and won't be back for 25. So pre-production has begun but EON has no Bond.....oh my, let the rumors begin. Thunderpussy, get your Bond audition tapes ready, your opportunity may be at hand. -{

I would love to see Bond visit New Zealand and Australia for the South Pacific. In the North there are various locations in Europe that I am dying to see - such as Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Dubrovnik is a wonderful destination ,I went there when it was Yugoslavia , the only thing going for it would be a chase on the battlements that encompass the city , but that would be very reminiscent of Skyfall and QOS ,so been there done that .At ground level ,Dubrovnik is no more different than say Luca in Tuscany .But a nice holiday destination none the less .
How to top the Rome car chase in SPECTRE? Well, obviously by having more than three people be out driving in a capital city .....
But what about a car chase in central Washington DC? I don't think it has been done before, much because security is obviously very high . but the Bond name can "open very large doors", so Bond might get the clearances needed.
Not very glamorous though is it? A Washington DC car chase would just end up being a bit boring. Think of the car chase in Ronin - now that was class because it was somewhere "different". Modern roads, narrow French streets, you get the idea. What could Washington DC bring to the party?

Washington DC can offer car chases near the White House, Capitol, the Smitsonian, the Washington monument etc. Unusual and spectacular backdrops for movie action and a well-armed and very strong security force.
But I still like to see Bond in places that I might not normally have much knowledge about. It used to be about travel to glamorous locations, now it seems to be less so.
I like seeing Bond in London, I really do, but I want to see some exotic locations as well.
In fact, I would love to see Bond go back to his literary roots and go to Royale-les-Eaux a bit more (Deauville and/or Le Touquet)
Does it have to be a car chase , a good old fashioned tail on foot is more exiting . Remember the Ipcress file when Palmer (Michael Caine) had to jump on and off buses in Trafalgar square ,that was a lot more of your intelligence man on the street action . When we on plain clothes detail ,you had to think on your feet ,you had different cover stories ,it was a lot more exiting than whizzing around on 2 wheels with blues and twos .Bond legging it up White hall in Skyfall ,now that was exiting .
