Well, you have to join eBay first if you want to buy (or sell). That means providing your email address. It helps to join PayPal too, which is separate, it's a way of course of paying directly through your bank account so it should be safer and painless. So you would have to provide you bank card details and home address, it's a fiddle.

When you are signed up, you can contact the seller, though generally you don't bother, you just bid for the item. Sometimes the item allows you buy it outright, so there is no bidding, it's a quick sale.

It is best to bid on a small item first, to get the hang of it. Don't just go in there and stump up £1000 for a poster you like the look of. You can check the reviews of sellers by previous buyers to see if they seem trustworthy, and you as a buyer will get a rating too, to see how prompt you are in paying once you have successfully bid for an item.

'Collectible' just means the item is a bit special, so a Bond book will not be the most recent one, but a first edition or an old Pan copy from the 50s or 60s, really it's up to the seller to say if it is Collectible or not, you may disagree.

Not every single thing on e-bay is a bidding item. Some people do sell things outright. To contact the seller, click on their profile name and there should be a link on the left side that says contact member. As suggested above, usually you don't contact the member unless you have a question about the item that isn't in the description.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

I'm askung about the 'collectible' items, because I found out that the one what I'm looking for is cheaper collectible than new.

Well, that may be because it's just old and a bit scuffed, whereas the new item (say, a book) will only have £2 or so knocked off what you would pay for it in a shop. 'Collectible' is just a tarted up way of saying second-hand, and of course anything second-hand will be cheaper, unless it has real rarity value or is in mint condition.

Of course it's better to buy smth new, but I'm from Poland so the delivery is very expensive and I need to buy the thing cheap. I exactly want to buy Monopoly James Bond and on Amazon it is cheaper 'collectible - like new', u can see - http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000EXDOM4/ref=dp_olp_collectible?ie=UTF8&condition=collectible
But do u think $35 is good price?

I'm afraid I've no idea whether that is a good price or not, I didn't even know there was a James Bond Monopoly, unless it's the one now owned by EON! :))

Well from what I can see by doing a search, that is a good price.... but the problem with ebay, is you can never 100% know you're getting what you ordered.

However, if you look at the seller history... you can see their rating (and this is given by people who have bought from them) and this will give you an indication on how reliable they are.

    Hope that helps.

Do check that their photo is there, and it's not a stock picture.

I ordered a few dirty knickers from Lexi over eBay, but when they arrived they were clean and in still their packet! :o :#

    Price looks good to me, just remember $35USD for the Monopoly + approx. $20USD for shipping via amazon global which in your case when sending from US to Europe is 9 to 16 days. -{

I know it is the second or even third topic, but sorry, I really need help. Can I see some real photos of collectible, like-new item on Amazon. Or contact real seller? It is important, because buying thing from USA (I am from Poland) it is hard for me to return it, or change.

You might be better off posting questions like this on Amazons forums....you dont give any detail, we dont know what you're buying and why not post this question in your original thread, rather than another new topic? :s

It's difficult to see real- pic on amazon, you'd better go with ebay.de ( as you are in poland), ebay.co.uk or ebay.com.

Also the term "collectible" does not mean anything. Just use the search function with what you are looking for ( such as "James Bond book") and see what turns up.

Yes, all of these posts on Amazon would be better made on an Amazon-related forum. Perhaps a moderator could merge these topics together?
