Do you prefer Bond in white or black tux?

White tux for me. I feel the white makes Bond look intelligent and very confident.

Your thoughts?

    I like Bond in both.
Interestingly, Roger Moore looks better in a white tux, makes him look even more refined. So when i think of the white tux in Bond movies, I think of Roger.

After Roger, did anyone else wear the white tux??

Not that I know of! Actually only Sean and Roger wore white... shame because I think it works well with Bond.

Black tux all the way - he looks like someone out of Casablanca in the white tux. Jarring...

    What's wrong with Casablanca?
    Great movie!

It was said in the Brosnan years that a white DJ was associated only with a waiter in an Indian restaurant, so Bond was unlikely to be seen in one again.

Connery sported one in DAF of course, I think he had a sort of white jacket when with Rowan Atkinson in Nassau in NSNA.

Hmm interesting. I guess that makes sense.

And don't forget Connery's white tux in the PTS of GF!

Nothing - it just doesn't sit very well with James Bond, IMHO. :)

Black /white,depends when and where you are,
Carribean in the summer has to be white, white dj in November
in London ,New york look a bit out of place,
would have to be black ,but as agent Theundeadkennedy
quite rightly says ,midnight blue .The new black djs tend to look grey ish
these days .The older barathea djs of yester year look a lot blacker
due to the heavier fabric All the Connery/Moore djs were made on the Row
hence proper fabrics I believe Edward Duke of Windsor ,favored the midnight blue
and as one of his coutiers famously said ,he is the king so he must be right
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

White tuxedos are slightly out of fashion now. The one Connery wore in DAF was definitely out of place in a Las Vegas casino in the daytime when everyone else was in casual wear.

Truthfully, I think it depends on the actor. Connery looks good in White, Moore looks better. I can't imagine Timothy Dalton or George Lazenby in a white tuxedo. It just doesn't suit them. Especially Dalton's more serious Bond. He'd dress conservatively, and that's just not a white jacket. Brosnan could probably pull off white as well. Daniel Craig wouldn't look good in white.

If going with white, I like a double-breasted blazer in white better than single button, even if it does have shawl lapels. I thought Connery pulled off the white jacket in "Goldfinger", but it wasn't my favorite tuxedo on him.
