another post touched on Dalton's legendary hair in LTK's casino scene.

Why does this style garner so much HATE??

I for one style my hair somewhat similarly since i don't prefer a part, and its black (with a hint of grey beginning at the sides!! but its ok, im 34 so its about that time and i'm cool with it!)

TRUTH - In fact, it could not have been that bad since that exact shot from that casino scene is now plastered on the cover of the new blue ray version of LTK!!

Dalton's do is not jarring, it's legendary! B-)

Okay, I have to admit, I got a good chuckle out of this. I am 30 and am fighting with Nioxin products to the ends of time to maintain what I've got left.

And you know what? No other Bond has had the guts to comb back the way Dalton did and go to the casino, so you're right. It is epic, and once again proves that Dalton was a trailblazer long before the blonde guy showed up.

I've never had any problem with this hairstyle - I have a poster of Dalton Bond and Pam Bouvier which came free with OO7 Magazine July 1989 issue! Roger Moore had back combed hair in the AVTAK scenes in the garden party, so there is precedent for it, although I suppose he was playing James St. John-Smythe as opposed to James Bond specifically. Another thread of the 'What's Daniel Craig's favourite carpet pattern?' variety....sigh

The hairstyle isn't terrible. It just accentuates the fact that the hair is receding in the front more than Dalton's other hairstyles, when it's pulled forward and parted. I just about have Dalton's exact hairline in LTK, and I avoid slicking it back as much as possible, relying more on a side part as it draws less attention to my forehead.

The hairstyle is fine, I'm just going off of personal preference, I'd never comb my hair back like that unless I absolutely had to. And Dalton's head looks much more full of hair with this style from "TLD"

It's unique. And I guess Dalton's trying to present an image as being a seedy mercenary in need of a job. In movies, the guy with combed-back hair usually has something dark about him. I could never fault, "The Daltonator". Whatever he says, goes.

And anyone who disagrees......

Better write that disagreement on paper, then put it in their desk and lock it.

I always thought it looked a slight bit odd but I can't say that I hate it. I prefer it other way but Timothy is just as pleasing to the eye with it slicked back
