Have you ever cried in a Bond film?

I tear up at the end of OHMSS; Lazenby plays it flawlessly.

Also, the Venice scene in CR. The look Craig gives Eva Green in the elevator is so heartbreaking. Call me a softy, but that gets me every time.

I completely agree, those two would be my two most emotional scenes. We Have All The Time in The World always gets me. In CR when Vesper ultimately tries to get out of the lift but it's too late is heartbreaking. Another one I found very poignant, though I didn't exactly cry, is the scene in LTK where Della gives James the garter :#

Never cried during a Bond film although the two scenes you mentioned are heartbreaking.

    I had a lump in my throat at the end of Skyfall...which then turned to cheering when the new M and Moneypenny were revealed. -{

    The invisible car in DAD.

    Seriously, Ms death in Skyfall.
Crying or having an emotional reaction to a film is nothing to be ashamed of.
An emotional reaction is actually the aim of the movie. As a film maker I'm always trying to get a physical reaction to my films; tears, laughter, lump in throat, fear in pit of the stomach etc.
As you watch a film the brain releases various chemicals that cause reactions in the body. So in fact films are a way of manipulating the mind. Fascinating stuff.
I was a wreck at the end of Toy Story 3!

I still am and I've seen Toy Story 3 numerous times! And quite honestly, this is why I find films so magical. They allow the viewer to escape the boring routine of his/her home life. It can change your mood in the matter of an hour or two. Films like that are wonderful.

I haven't cried but on returning from an early screeing of QOS.
I was so quiet ( In shock probably ) that My wife asked me
had something happened, was something wrong.

In fact, if Lazenby doesn't do this, his merit as a Bond actor could very well have been cut by two thirds. I think it was that important.

I cried for the franchise when I saw DAD. :)) :p

But cried? No. Although I was surprised how much of a "wow" and silence there was in SF when M died. Ever since seeing GE in the theater, I've never seen a reaction quite like that (even "I never miss" in TWINE and Vesper's death in CR).

Also, I had a friend who likewise didn't cry, but thought that scene was "mind-blowing". Before the film (a couple days before it), I'd wondered if we'd see something as true to Fleming as "FRWL or OHMSS". His reaction to FRWL was positive, but his close-to-exact words on OHMSS were "James Bond doesn't f---ing cry! You leave that in the books!" Well, we all know by now, hopefully, that Bond did EXACTLY that in SF.

So I asked him about what he thought of the movie at the end (I was sitting with Dad, he was at the opposite end of the theater) and eventually we got to that. He started talking about it being a different kind of relationship and chemistry. The only two near-exact quotes I remember from him were "dude, it's a different Bond" and "it's just totally apples and watermelons, not even apples and oranges."
By the way, are you gonna eat that?

Every time the credits roll on "LTK", because I know there isn't another Dalton Bond after it. ;)

In all seriousness, nope. Never cried. I'm a heartless, ruthless b@stard. Who knows. I might fit right in at the 00 Section. 003 maybe. I like the number 3.

I find it so upsetting that I tend to end the movie at the Crane shot as they drive away.Again Lazenby does a fantastic job.

Yes. On Her Majesty's Secret Service. But not the scene in which Tracy died, but the scene in which Bond and Tracy got married. M, Q and Moneypenny saying their farewells to Bond - particularly Moneypenny who got a little teary herself - did bring some tears to my eyes too. I'm hopeless at weddings! :))

Actually the LTK ending doesn't make me cry exactly, but it does fill me full of emotion. The end of the 'Classic Bond' Era and the end of the Dalton films. And a beautiful closing song. I love it!

OHMSS gets me every time. The 'We Have All The Time In The World' montage (knowing what's to come) and the ending. 'She's just resting...' sets me off and the final shot of the bullet hole in the windscreen is wonderful.

M's death very nearly got me going, but I was with friends and it would have been embarrassing :)) It was partly just because it was such a shock.

And on Toy Story 3 - I haven't been able to watch it a second time. It reminded me far too much of my brother. He had wrote his name on Woody and Buzz's feet too.

Same here. Skyfall has been the closest for me by far
    1 - LALD, 2 - AVTAK, 3 - LTK, 4 - OP, 5 - NTTD, 6 - FYEO, 7 - SF, 8 - DN, 9 - DAF, 10 - TSWLM, 11 - OHMSS, 12 - TMWTGG, 13 - GE, 14 - MR, 15 - TLD, 16 - YOLT, 17 - GF, 18 - DAD, 19 - TWINE, 20 - SP, 21 - TND, 22 - FRWL, 23 - TB, 24 - CR, 25 - QOS

    1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby

I never cry in movies, so the answer is no. But the most emotional one is probably Skyfall and CR. OHMSS doesn't really cut it for me-feels to forced, still a great movie though. The closest I got to crying was The Boy in the Striped Pj's.

I'm a little hardened so OHMSS doesn't quite bring me to the verge, but Daniel Craig'c acting in the Vesper death scene is overwhelmingly moving. I think it's why they cast Craig. His build, magnetism, presence are all great instruments to portray Bond, but he cemented the deal with that scene. I wish they hadn't retained the "b***h line from the book, it was sort of an unfortunate non sequitur.

It became a non-sequitur because Craig's Bond didn't seem to feel as betrayed as Fleming's Bond. When Fleming's Bond found out of Vesper's betrayal, he didn't want to know her anymore, let alone try to save her (never mind the fact that she was already dead when Bond found out - if she wasn't, I doubt the literary Bond would've tried to save her). If Bond had just let her drown in the film instead of trying to save her, then the "bitch" line would make more sense.

Believe it or not, I was going to post the exact same thing! The only movie I ever saw in theatre's that had me shred a tear was Toy Story 3!! Damn that nostalgia on that ending scene!!

I never cried on a Bond movie though, M's death was touching and very well done, she has been M for 7 consecutive movies after all... Tracy's dead was emotional, but I already knew it was going to end like that, and the completely wrong move of turning on the James Bond theme for the closing credits ruins the moment a bit as well... Licence to Kill's closing credits songs by Pattie Labelle leaves me more emotional, and I'm not even sure what I am emotional about when hearing that one. It's a great song! Vespers death in Casino Royale was quite touching as well, but again, I knew she was going to die.

I think M's death has been the closest I ever been to crying in a Bond film...

I can't cry to a Bond film. I love them but really one can't take them too seriously just as I believe a Batman film shouldn't be too serious. That recent Batman film was the most boring film ever. Am I allowed to cry at Fiona Volpe not getting her knockers out in the bathtub scene from Thunderball?
