All my AVTAK movies are cursed!

Somehow, the AVTAK movies I own don't want me to watch the scene at Stacey's house.

I own the AVTAK special edition on DVD. About a year ago was the last time I watched it. I was actually going over all of the Bond movies with a friend of mine. And for some reason the movie got stuck on the scene as Stacey's house. It just stopped playing. Forcing us to skip this scene. I figured, meh this DVD is old and proberbly played a lot... So I wasn't bothered to much by it..

Then arround november last year I bought the Bond 50 Blu Ray box. Still haven't got arround to watching all of them, but I enjoy the great quality of all the movies in this box! So just now, I decided to give AVTAK a rewatch. This was actually the first time I put the Blu Ray version of AVTAK in. Ever. The disc is still brand new. And guess what, the movie got stuck at the exact same scene again! It's a completly different disc! And ONCE AGAIN I can't view the scene at Stacey's house! Everything else plays fine. The disc doesn't have a single scratch on it, and my blu ray player is just fine as well.. WEIRD!

Spooky. Methinks it's time to send for Derek Ancona... :o

Never heard of a mastering error on the NSNA DVD or on any Bond film really.. But it does kind of suck, I've been testing the blu ray disc out, errors occur constantly at that scene, it's unavoidable. The movie either gets stuck, or starts skipping. The rest of the movie is fine... :S I wonder if any other people or having trouble there on that particular scene.

I've not heard of the error on NSNA DVD either - can anyone fill in more details on this one? ?:)

I'll have to give my AVTAK UE DVD a dig out to see if this glitch also shows up in mine! :s

I have a similar problem with my DVD copy of The Living Daylights, it freezes up on the scene when Kara rings Whitaker's house, so frustrating, as it skips over when Bond drinks the spiked Martini :#

I own the only blu ray player in the house, so haven't gotten the chance yet to try it somewhere else.... Such a shame that this happens on a brand new blu ray disc, which I only used for the very first time today! That really shouldn't happen! My blu ray player itself is fine though, haven't gotten any trouble with anything else so far. Still have a some other Bond blu ray's I still haven't touched, hopefully this is the only one with problems.

It's weird how the special edition DVD had this problem at exactly the same scene, and I watched that one at my friends house back then... (So in completely different DVD player.) Just now, I decided to check out the DVD version at my own blu ray player to see if it still has that problem. For some reason, the DVD played just fine right now .. :s But the Blu Ray disc has the same problem, no matter how many times I try...

Sorry to hear that... This really shouldn't even be allowed to happen. Especially if the disc is brand new!

Could be the player. I have a Toshiba that plays every disc I pop in perfectly... except KICK ASS. I've swapped it numerous times for ones from different shops. Every copy freezes at the same point. I'm assuming for some reason my player just isn't compatible with the software on that particular title.

For years I thought I had a faulty copy of Dark side of the moon by Pink Floyd, on vinyl, as at the end of Great gig in the sky there is a bum note that goes up, it was only when I bought the CD version and it was on there too.
I know there is a fault with the downloadable version of Misplaced childhood by Marillion as I had the CD and the Vinyl version, but they bought out a special version with 11 extra tracks on itunes and Blindcurve skips all over the shop, contacted itunes and they replaced it it did the, same, 3 attempts later it was discovered that this fault is on all downloadable versions and there is nothing they can do about, I did offer to lend my perfect CD version, but they declined.
Good job I there aren't many people that like Marrilion any more

Sorry no mention of JB in this post but I have not had anything faulty relating to JB
