I just read a statement by Craig Zadan, this year's Oscar producer.

There will be no appearence of our beloved 007s at this years Bond tribute.

Fine. That life. What would have been a cinematically historic moment and a glorious gift to Bondfans is not to be.

Thats OK. It was a longshot to begin with and I was not holding my breath.

BUT...according to Zadan, there was NEVER any intention of bringing the Bonds together because six actors would be "standing awkwardly" on stage.

You read that right. This hack of a producer has missed a glorious opportunity to make Bond and Oscar history because he is not a good enough showman to stage and present a simple gathering that would bring the house down. And then some.

Showmanship. Has it gone the way of the dodo bird? Who is this loser?

I can accept the fact that getting these men together is not feasible. But this is not an admittance of that inability by Zadan. If he tried and failed. Fine.

No. This is something else. It is a lack of showmanship. The inability to recognize and to give people what they want.

Zadan would forever have been remembered as the man who brought the Bonds together. Now...he's just a Hollywood bum who didnt even have the imagination to make the attempt.

Lame. And worse: this might be last time it could happen.

And by the way. It is scientifically impossible for six Bonds to be "standing awkwardly". Six actors walk out and wave to an adoring global audience. How tough is that?

These gentlemen epitomiize the words suave and cool. Why? Because they all played Bond. James Bond. End of discussion.

Awkward? Only an enemy agent of SPECTRE would see it that way.

Somewhere, Blofeld is smiling.

"Shocking. Positively Shocking."
