Oz the Great and Powerful

Don't see a thread yet on the Sam Raimi pic coming this weekend. Certainly this is the highest profile release of the year so far and I'm sure Disney is hoping for Alice in Wonderland level numbers this weekend, which debuted with $116 million. I see it doing more Hobbit opening #s though. Excited to see it this weekend and curious to hear thoughts of everyone once it's released. I do have more analysis on its box office opening below, but mainly want to hear everyone out come Friday. I'll post my thoughts!

Disney plans on making a sequel to their 2012 movie. They are not allowed to use some elements in The Wizard of Oz (1939). They can not have the ruby slippers in their story. They are not allow to use the same color green on the witch's face and they could not use the chin.
Originally, they were going to tell the story of Aunt Em going to The Land of Oz.

Eventually, they will have to tell the story of how the witch's sister got the ruby slippers and then of course, we know she was wearing them before Dorothy's house landed on her and killed her as we saw in The Wizard of Oz (1939).
