Falcone, those last two Rolexes had me in awe. I don't think that'll take me a couple of days to save, I think YEARS haha. Worth it!

The last 2 Rolex are by a mile the cheaper ones of the lot :D

Falcone - wanna trade? I have some 007 Swatches :D

This is a great thread... Love the collections....

And the fake accusations that Bondtoys uses to punctuate them...

Btw alphaagent, I'd get that one rescinded, lest he keeps bringing it up against you in 20yrs time amongst some feud ( just noticed Freud is just feud with an R in the middle :) )

Good to have you back ASP...

Since Brosnan was my Bond, I got this version way back. Just busted it out after it sitting in the dark for about 5 months.

The Aqua Terra looks really nice and I think it is great that Bond also has a somewhat more dressier watch compared to the bigger Planet Ocean. The PO is not really my cup of tea, too bulky. I really like the look of the new Seamaster 300M with the ceramic bezel. The old SMP is of course a classic.

Well several years has passed and my large Omega PO has never been on its bracelet (I bought the bracelet version and the rubber strap separately. However I had it shipped on the rubber so it arrived Casino Royale style)

Anyhow I finally picked up a Bergeon Tool and put it on the bracelet however the bracelet was too big! 30 mins later and taking 3 links off (it was massive) I now have it on the bracelet!!

I like it! Its like having a new watch, its always been my fave Omega but even more so now!

    My XL PO reborn...

Agree with all that has been said about the watch being renewed with the metal bracelet.

Have had mine on the original rubber for four years and now, frankly, it just feels cheap and nasty IMO.

Been put off getting the bracelet - I've worn a Rolex Sub against the Omega which has always fulfilled those needs - but now think it might be time to find the funds for the bracelet
  • welshboy78welshboy78 Posts: 10,321MI6 Agent
Same here David, until now my Sub has also satisfied me hence kept the PO on the rubber and sought of used when doing jobs where bracelet damage will be inevitable! Anyhow I can always change back for such occasions! Believe the specific rubber strap has now been discontinued by Omega for another type hence I did pick up a spare for years down the line (I did hear they perish etc however my original one seems to be fine so far)

I did have the Aqua Terra but sold it last month, it was a very nice watch but I never had any desire at all to wear it! It certainly dazzled me in the shop window but once it arrived it didnt have that sparkle - weird really!

Now that you have put the bracelet on, does the watch stay in place or does it slip down your wrist?

It actually stays in place and a perfect fit - however when I started resizing it I was very concerned that it was going to be one of those damn watches that you could not get perfect fit (i.e. too tight or too lose and can't find a happy medium with the links)

Thats my problem in summer it fits OK in winter tends to slip down the wrist, if I adjust it any more it to tight and my hand starts to turn blue. :#

Prob early days here - I will see what happens temp wise!!

Actually quite amazing the difference depending on temp!

Do you also have the rubber strap?
