Benedict Cumberbatch missed out on playing suave superspy James Bond in a video game after showing up at the audition in scruffy clothes.
The Star Trek Into Darkness actor was in the running to play a digital version of 007, but he blew his chance when he wore casual clothing to his screen test.
He explains, "I once got the chance to play James Bond in a computer game. But when I got to the audition there were men in their late 40s in dinner jackets there. I went in casual wear.
"I thought I would shake it up though and I started to dive over sofas and do all the gun poses and I did not get a call. I am still waiting."

The last series is being repeated on the BBC at the moment, recorded the first 2 episodes and watched one so far. I had forgotten all the twists and turns, I really do enjoy this series! People are very scathing about Steven Moffat over the way he's handled being head writer on Doctor Who but I do think he writes well for Sherlock.
I've heard people say the episode "A Scandal in Belgravia" is sexist in the way it portrays Irene Adler... I don't really know what to think about that, does anyone here have any thoughts?

I thought it was a fantastic episode and the editing was brilliant. Her naked introduction was another great idea as Sherlock could learn nothing about her. As we'd seen him do earlier. The idea of Sherlock dressing as a vicar and watson pretending to set a fire is from the story by ACD.

I've heard people say the episode "A Scandal in Belgravia" is sexist in the way it portrays Irene Adler... I don't really know what to think about that, does anyone here have any thoughts?

I think this is the best episode so far...really clever and engaging...
Yes I've read the short story on which that sequence was based, actually on that subject I've been wanting to start reading some of the Holmes novels for a while but am rendered a little ?:) when trying to decide between the many different stories Mr Conan Doyle penned. Would anybody care to make a suggestion of where to start?
