I've just watched 'The Spies that Fooled the World' a BBC documentary about the intelligence community leading up to the Iraq war 10 years ago.

It's a very well made documentary. I'm currently in the middle of re watching TND and there are some alarming similarities such as misinformation to start a war. Check it out if your in the UK it'll be on iPlayer very soon. I highly recommend it.

I watched this with interest and now understand further why I was sent on a 6 month vacation to a very hot place on behalf my country. (Actually to be fair this just confirmed what I already knew)

Because a bunch of dudes (who already had Iraq on a list for regime change) decided it was time to act. Made the intelligence fit the need and the rest is history! How the hell they managed to link Osama and Saddam was always beyond me (one an Arab the other a Muslim both hating each other) still it's a funny world.

Interesting take on events especially if you had been there as well (i guess not much help for the families guys we sent home though). Makes you realise we were all just pawns in a chess game.

Intelligence is not an exact science but it shows what can happen once obtained for good or bad

    Cheers

i agree, one person had nothing to do with the other. it was a knee jerk reaction by the west to the 9/11 tragedy. that was plain to see, george W jnr, wanted to finish what his dad didnt do. . so here wevare many yrs later going from one area of campain to another, and a few more to do
