After seeing Skyfall, which is one of my Top 3 Bond's, I thought I don't want to see another Skyfall. While I absolutely love that movie, I think repeating it can turn the franchise into something it's not. This is one of those movies like OHMSS where it is different than the normal formula and you either embrace it or hate it. I embraced it, but I'd like them to go back to the Bond formula while continuing to innovate and modernize it.
However, as the weeks pass, I find myself not minding another movie in the same vein as Skyfall. Perhaps this is just Craig's style of Bond. Peeling back the layers and making his movies a character study on Bond. With Barbara and Michael at the helm, Mendes directing, and Logan writing, I am confident that whatever they produce is going to be amazing.
I too am in favour of mentioning previous missions. I like the idea of being able to mix and match the timeline at will. After of course Casino Royale, QOS and Dr No the missions don't dwell on the time of Bonds career. Any could have happened at any time really, so why not mention a few? There are a few complaints about Craig being alienated from previous Bonds because of the 'reboot' and this would help bring them all together. I say go for it, nothing major, just subtle hints and maybe a few quips in the dialogue! -{

Yep we have seen layer after layer of alternating Angst and grumpy.
This might be more from the Moore era but I think it would be fun for Bond to have a "Q" sat nav which during a chase, would as well as giving directions it would suggest what gadgetry to use.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
I adore that idea, but I think it should be saved for the next Bond. Too bad they didn't do that with Brosnan! I just want to see Daniel have to chase someone in a smart car! )
I hope he gets a lovely new Aston or Lotus in Bond 24 and the
DB5 is laid to rest. )
How about a Lotus Evora which is a stylish design and quick as well ?
Bleuville.
Not exotic enough IMO. I want Bond in a car that costs more than a house. The Evora is great but it's not in the same league as a DBS or a Z8 , bond should drive something that's not even in the league of the average joe even as a used car )
Just make it fun that's all i ask. Almost every Bond film pre Craig or Brosnan is very quotable. Craig can deliver humor as seen in Casino Royale but he runs over his lines in QOS & Skyfall kind of like Dalton. Was looking at images from Skyfall on the 007 Facebook page which came after images from Octopussy and was amazed at how little variety was in it...and laughing at how people confused the Octopussy train fight with the Skyfall one. -{
I want David Arnold back doing the music score. I want the gun barrel to be at the start and a story that just oozes classic Bond.....but no secret bases inside volcanoes etc. I also think the DBS should now be left out of any further Movies with DC after having the arse blown out of itself in Skyfall.
Whatever car he uses, it HAS to be a British marque. The old Bentley's aren't a bad idea. Something that shows his love of tradition, King and country, etc.
The scent smoke and sweat of a casino are nauseating at three in the morning. Then the soul-erosion produced by high gambling - a compost of greed and fear and nervous tension - becomes unbearable and the senses awake and revolt from it.
Now that there was a huge profit w SF, I feel the producers owe the fans a non CGI picture that takes Bond to REAL WORLD LOCATIONS. Australia has been mentioned, and it would be great if there existed a YIN/YANG climate exchange. Maybe Bond could be somewhere snowy like the Alps or in Siberia, then go off to the Australian outback. After all, it would be Winter in the Northern hemisphere and Summer in the Southern hemisphere. From freezing cold to extreme heat.....perhaps a chase involving a Diesel Road Train, or a real train. The villian could have some kind of power station setup in the outback.
I really liked the way FYEO bounced between the Italian Alps and the Sun drenched Greek Isles. I have always liked the way Bond films take me around the World.....It would be nice to know that the exotic locale I am looking at isn't studio fakery involving a green screen.
I would like to see a very spectacular PTS that ends with a great, and REAL, stunt, something along the lines of TSWLM, GE (the bungee jump) or Moonraker (without flapping arms), that does or does not set up the plot of the rest of the movie. After a great title sequence and song I would like to see Bond doing some boring paperwork at the office or waking up bored at home like we often see in the Fleming novels before all hell breaks loose when M gives him a call.
- Opening action sequence with Bond on some mission or other that doesn't necessarily relate to the wider film plot
- Cool title sequence featuring silhouette naked girls
- Bond briefed by M in the old school wood paneled offices - Plot may sound complicated but is actually fairly simple
- Bond leaves making suggestive remarks to moneyponney
- Q kits out Bond with a selection of cool yet not too ridiculous gadgets that he will just happen to need on this particular mission
- Bond leaves UK for one or more exotic locations to track down evil mastermind who generally socialises with the rich and famous
- Bond gets various opportunities to show his cool - like knowing about Poker/Alcohol/Horses/Cars etc
- Meets his US counterpart Brian Cranston/Walter White for some CIA action
- Meets Bond Girl
- Various action sequences (none on a building site though)........
- ....culminating in a big finish where eveil genius escapes but world safety is restored for now
- Bond gets light bollocking for letting the big cheese baddie escape
- Snogs Bond Girl and says something sexist
- Credits
Personally I would like to see them go back to the 'tone' and 'feel' we saw in casino and quantum. They reflect the books so much more than the camp pantomime insert we got in skyfall.
- Opening action sequence with Bond on some mission or other that doesn't necessarily relate to the wider film plot Having a PTS that is unrelated to the overall film is a waste of time.
- Cool title sequence featuring silhouette naked girls Okay
- Bond briefed by M in the old school wood paneled offices - Plot may sound complicated but is actually fairly simple This is called "exposition" and is a sign of bad writing.
- Bond leaves making suggestive remarks to moneyponney A waste of time unless Moneypenny has a role to play in your film, which I suspect she doesn't.
- Q kits out Bond with a selection of cool yet not too ridiculous gadgets that he will just happen to need on this particular mission You're own description points out how stupid this is. We are now about 25 minutes into your film and nothing relevant has happened. People are checking their watches to see how much more they will have to endure.
- Bond leaves UK for one or more exotic locations to track down evil mastermind who generally socialises with the rich and famous Great, as long as the plot is moving forward.
- Bond gets various opportunities to show his cool - like knowing about Poker/Alcohol/Horses/Cars etc The plot is moving forward, isn't it?
- Meets his US counterpart Brian Cranston/Walter White for some CIA action What's wrong with Jeffrey Wright? I'd prefer Bryan Cranston for the bad guy.
- Meets Bond Girl Okay
- Various action sequences (none on a building site though)........
- ....culminating in a big finish where eveil genius escapes but world safety is restored for now We seem to have missed some steps
- Bond gets light bollocking for letting the big cheese baddie escape So, the whole thing was basically pointless. Bond screwed up his mission but it doesn't matter. I have no problem with Bond screwing up, but his screw ups should have consequences.
- Snogs Bond Girl and says something sexist I have no comment to this
- Credits Okay
There, not hard is it Sam !
I'd say something like, stupidity is always easy, but I shall refrain.

Superdaddy forgot to mention that Idris Elba will write the score, as well as sing the theme song! )
