Not big on sci-fi/fantasy so there's a lot of big films I've never seen including all the Terminators, all the Star Wars (except Star Wars itself), all the Parry Hotters (except the first two), all the Twilight thingies, Predators, Avatar, Clash of the Titans, and the list goes on and on and on and on...
oh you have too watch pulp fiction if not only to
see Smuel l jacksons brilliant performance
its a bit of a topsy turvey script but hey
i dare you no i double dare you that you will like it
Pulp Fiction strikes me as the perfect example of a contemporary American film. If someone told me to pick a film that comes off as very American and is a great piece of cinema, I'd pick Pulp Fiction. It has this great LA, Hollywood, and American style and core with a great sense of humor, drama, and events. A crash course in America and its love affair with the movies. It's oddly like The Great American Film to me.

Totally a must-see.
Fully concur. Pulp Fiction was probably the most influential and important film of the last 30 years.

The Searchers
Psycho
Easy Rider
A Clockwork Orange
Avatar
Titanic (only seen certain bits)
The LOTR trilogy The Matrix trilogy Anchorman
In fact, any Will Farrell starring vehicle
Any Judd Apatow film save Knocked Up Reservoir Dogs
All three Star Wars prequels Casino Royale ('67)

I agree. And I'd also add Titanic to that notion {:)
Regarding your list I'd definitely recommend Psycho. One of Hitchcock's best IMO. And LOTR you're missing out on (minus return of the king's overly-long ending)
Avatar
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Empire of the Sun
The Godfather films
Gone with the Wind
Casablanca
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Searchers
Raging Bull
...and, believe it or not, Casino Royale (2006)

Indy 4 is overly-criticised IMO. Sure, it's the worst Indy movie of the 4, and by far too. But it's still an Indy movie and highly enjoyable. But then again I am a huge Indy lover.

Avatar was ok... but too damn long!
Agreed. People at the initial release were way less critical and disappointed. It did great at the box office and generally did well in reviews. I think this is a case similar to the Star Wars prequels where a bandwagon of name-calling and exaggerated criticism become just the way people think about them and they forget the reality of the films achievements, significance, or success. Kind of like Keanu Reeves being touted as a bad actor or Sarah Jessica Parker getting called an ugly horse. It is a pop culture trend that totally contradicts the rise and peak work of them.
Is Indy 4 or the Star Wars prequels disappointing in the context of their legendary names? Yes. Does that mean they are failures as blockbuster, high-production films? No.

On another thread here I suggested Cate Blanchett as a Bond villain but was criticised on the basis of her role in Indy 4

Indeed, though I've not watched it overly often myself. I need to rectify this, too.
