What's the deal with the iconic Roger Moore artwork having brown eyes? This same rendition was used again on The Man with the Golden Gun and in some versions of For Your Eyes Only

Yes, Roger Moore had blue eyes, Sean Connery had brown eyes and I think that the literary Bond had blue eyes also. Daniel Craig has blue eyes. Strange. Perhaps the Japanese one can be explained away as it's foreign? Don't know about the LALD one, though. Very interesting.

I guess, that the only explanation is that asian people are used to dark eyes and selling a blue- eyed hero on a poster may be difficult.

yes, but that fetish does not apply to superheroes and keep in mind that FYEO is more than 30 yrs ago....

This erros occurs more often actually. Art is always altered. Take a look at this golden ultimate edition cover of Diamonds Are Forever for example:

The edited Connery's eyes to make them look more bright blue, however they forgot they were suppossed to be brown!:

True, though in the original poster Robert McGinnis had to give Connery a very long neck to avoid him being dwarfed by the two girls.
