Last night I sat down and watched FRWL again for the first time in around 10 years. For some reason I never thought much of it, but after seeing it again, I've moved it up to my favourite Connery film. There are some great moments in the film. The opening with Red Grant, the sniper scene with Kerim Bey using Bond's shoulder to steady himself. One of the most sexy Bond girls in Tatiana. The train exchange and fight between Bond and Grant, and something I'd forgotten about, Connery's "She had her kicks" line after Klebb's death.
I'd fell out of love with Connery's Bond in recent years but FRWL has made me appreciate him again.

If it wasnt for FRWL i would never have discovered my love
for Turkish coffee (medium sweet) but one of the best Bond films
non the less
It's pretty much perfect in my view.The last few rough edges had been knocked off Sean, there is a confidence and swagger evident in the film.it had more money to play with, a great script, superb characters what more can be said ? For me it's by far and away the best movie in the series.I love OHMSS but it occasionally jars, I love TLD and GE, but nothing quite hits the spot like FRWL. CR is a strong contender but Eva Green gets on my nerves, but with this it's all good.
I didn't even know it was a Bond movie. Dad hated it so I didn't get to watch another Bond til I could finally drive and some friends and I went to see TLD. After TLD, I went straight Applause Video and rented every Bond Beta tape they had. Imagine my profound joy as I got to the end of FRWL and saw Klebb sliding down that wall again. It was like a repressed memory coming back!
I made sure this was my kids first Bond Experience. -{
Yes ,when you think the budget to make the film was $2,ooo,ooo,
and box office takings of $79,000,000 compared to QOS budget of$230,000,000
and takings of $577,000,000 ,the% return on FRWL mathmaticaly a better film
wich reminds me ,my medium sweet Turkish coffee is on the stove
Also, I don't really like Tatiana as a character. She's hardly as iconic as Honey Ryder or Pussy Galore.
I would say that is a matter of taste, as I find her infinitely better than either. Neither Honor nor Ursula are even in my top 10 Bond Girls list. When I see Ms. Andress' scenes in that bikini, she looks like she's working to hold her stomach in to me. And Ms. Blackmon reminds me of my 10th grade English Lit. Teacher, as they had the same hairstyle which never moved. Tatiana, however, is simply stunning. Just so incredibly gorgeous, it's hard to believe your eyes beautiful. As JB himself said, "You're one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen"
