Connery... would have liked one less actually. But I am fine with his reign.
Lazenby. I think one was perfect. I believe he would have been exposed if he went on to do a 2nd or 3rd film. He did a decent job for his one time outing. However his role absolutely needed the amazing Diana Rigg for it to work. And obviously you can't overuse the marriage angle.
Moore. Perfect tenure as Bond for me. I love Moore and so I was happy to see him get his 7th. I thought AVTAK was a nice send off. It seemed during production that everyone knew including Roger that this would be his last hoorah as Bond.
Dalton = Winner. Would have loved Dalton to have 1 or 2 more in 91 and 93. I absolutely love the tone of those movies and the time they were made in. When I consider this hypothetical, I have to think of how another film would have effected the other Bond's tenures. An extra film here wouldn't have had any effect had there been no financial troubles.
Brosnan. Torn here. I grew up with Brosnan and look upon his era fondly despite the latter half of his run being rather weak in my opinion. CR with Craig was incredible so I would never consider putting Brosnan in there. I would have been fine with a final Brosnan in 2004, but I think it would have all but solidified that he was done.
Predictably for me Dalton & Lazenby. A great shame that neither of them did more. I too would have liked to have seen the young(ger) Dalton in the role, probably at age 35 or so. If Lazenby had done two or three, Dalton could have taken over from LALD onwards.
I may repeat myself since I've had more than a few Martinis tonight..Lazenby for three/ Timothy Dalton for Three..Brosnan for one (Goldeneye) & since this is Fantasy and made up.. I would have love to see Roger Moore tackle OHMSS as is & the follow up revenge version of DAF. & then have his regular run end at Octopussy. I love a view to a kill & he was great in it & it would have been genius if they said something about his age & that it was time to move on.... :007) -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{
