in General James Bond Chat
IM off work today,so while in Sainsburys ,me thinks to my self
well its pi**ing down with rain AGAIN what shall i do
i know get somme goodies while im here and watch living daylights
when i get home (bear with me here) Now my question is
what does Bond watch ,obviousley Bond films do not exist in his world
with me so far ?so does he watch John Brand (made up name )
i could go on but you get the point
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

    I think he'd appreciate BBC Four. He'd watch films like The 39 Steps and other such old spy thriller films. Just an educated guess.

    Interesting question. Is it the James Bond of Fleming's books or the Bond in the Movies?

    I imagine Bond doesn't og to the cinema a lot, perhaps mainly on dates.

    Bond would go to his club, hang out, read the papers.

    TV didn't really exist much in the 1950s so he might go to the cinema but that was when it was for adults, not superannuated kids, so maybe he'd see some documentary at an arthouse cinema or something.

    Bond was having a high old time with three or four "similarly-disposed" married women so I doubt he'd have too much time for TV :))

    But if he did he'd probably watch sport (skiing, Grand Prix, golf), and documentaries, given he loves The Travellers Tree, plus thrillers (Eric Ambler is often cited by Fleming). Just a guess.

    I agree Can't see Bond sitting watching a lot of TV. IMHO
    there'd be plenty of dining out, and as Charmed & Dangerous
    pointed out, some married ladies to see. :D

    Didn't his Scottish treasure old May refuse a TV salesman that came round in From Russia, with Love (1957), althiough that was nearly 50 years ago. Fleming mentioned TV in cuts made to a radio interview I have the transcript of. He said that if Raymond Chandler was on the TV at 8.30 you had to be home to meet Raymond Chandler on your appointment with the TV at 6,30. Fleming seemede to view TV as another trapping of modern life that left less time in the day; it really was just another appointment that you had to keep. Perhaps Bond would have thought the same, although in SeaFire (1994) by John Gardner, Bond enjoys watching videos on his TV with Flicka von Grusse, and discussuing them with her afterwards, we're told by Gardner. That's about as much as I can fetch up from the dim grey bog for now on James Bond and TV. Time for liquid refreshment, methinks. ;)

    Not at the minute in the DIY disaster that is my home. Normally I do, but everything's at sixes and sevens at the minute! :))

    So I'd say He's watch a lot
    of Documentaries on Channel 5 :))

    I agree Bond would prob like BBC 4, I can see him also enjoying Radio 4. With the amount of round the world jet setting he does it would make sense he would want to follow entertainment and info he could put down and pick up as time permits. Books would certainly feature in that.

    Mind you modern Bond has his laptop and phone, classic Bond might have had a travel radio, pos something Q gave him?
