Octopussy VHS contains subtitles for Indian/German dialog

For some old-school fun I watched Octopussy on VHS the other day. Surprisingly, it contained subtitles for much of the Indian and German dialog.

A few examples:

-During the jungle chase and Gobdina is shouting commands.

-Kamal and Gobdina hiring the thugs to attack the island and kill Bond.

-Ringmaster introducing Fransisco the Fearless

-The German couple who picked up Roger Moore hitchhiking

-The woman who got her car stolen by Roger Moore

My ultimate edition DVD does not contain subtitles for any of these scenes. The only subtitle on the DVD is "GET OFF MY BED" in big stupid oversize font. The VHS has "Get off my bed" in standard subtitle font.

I am wondering if the latest Blu Ray release has added the subtitles back in ? Kind of a shame to lose them, even if none of that dialog was ultra-important.

I used to have that VHS, I personally didn't like it because that was not how the film was shown in theatres. The get off my bed in supersize was what was shown in theatres. I also have not seen the American version of Thunderball released on Bluray.

There's also the "Kremlin Art Depository" title where Linkin works as a curator. It and the infamous "GET OFF MY BED!" subtitle were missing from my 1996 VHS of Octopussy. Never heard of all of those other sub-titles, mind. Most odd indeed.
