  All of the above, and I disagree that the mix wasn't handled well. Nothing like it had ever been attempted before in the movies. My 14 year old Son, who refuses to watch Bond movies in general, has seen & enjoyed it TWICE. That alone, I think, speaks volumes as to its simple excellence. :007)

  I love the simplicity of espionage in Dr. No. Connery taking off his shoes to make less noise, staking out and playing solitaire while waiting for Dent, the many people covertly following Bond throughout the movie. While the series would do better, this is still an all time classic.
