Does anyone know if Ian Ogilvy (Return of the Saint) was ever mentioned or considered to play James Bond?

    The subject was broached, but not by anyone official. Ogilvy was sanguine about it saying that if they wanted someone physically similar to Moore they might go with him, but his understanding was they were after someone different to Moore, which was true enough. At 007 Magazine someone said he didn't have the stature physically to be Bond.
    "This is where we leave you Mr Bond."
