Brioni CR train tie?

Maybe the resolution is too high on my monitor but it looks a shade too bright to be the exact one from the movie. Then again it was a dimly-lit scene. I do think it's a pretty good approximation regardless. Thanks for sharing.

Nice tie but I don't think it's the CR train tie. The grid lines are too fine if you compare to these photos. I believe from an older post that the tie in the photos was identified as the train tie.

Close up this two-tone tie is quite different, but if you're after the burgundy/wine color, it's a great steal.

I was just thinking that it's one of the closer ones we've seen so far, AND it's a Brioni. :007)

    Here's another similar-looking tie by Brioni: http://www.mrporter.com/product/360884

They look the same to me (porter and tiedeals) maybe the picture flash?

They are slightly different. The pattern on the Mr. Porter version is smaller than the TieDeals version. It has slightly smaller "boxes" - you can count them across each row. The CR tie has a larger pattern, but these do look close. Nice finds!

    Kind regards,
    Craig

Did anyone actually pick up the tie from Mr. Porter? Was just curious what thoughts were from anyone who did.

On his Facebook page, Magnoli posted a photo of his prototype CR train tie replica. It's currently planned for an October release: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=585992821463887&set=a.541184389278064.1073741834.530294503700386&type=1&theater

Does anybody on the forum have the screen accurate version?
  • othertravelothertravel Posts: 438MI6 Agent
Bump! Come on guys, any hi-res pics?

Magnoli has just released his version of the CR train tie. This is another bond item I've always wanted and have been searching for a good alternative for many years. So I'm very happy he's created one.

    Thanks Indy!

Is it possible to get the ties without any tags?

Prob have to take it off yourself, believe his stuff made in various diff countries.

Wonder if the real deal is Brioni or Ted Baker. In fact I wonder if any ties were really Baker at all.

Ted Baker ties in Casino Royale? This happened?

Well the ties have never been found to my knowledge.

e.g. Some people claim the blue Montenegro one is a Ted Baker and seen in a Ted Baker store back in the day, other claim its 100% Brioni etc

Dont think we have had a 100% solid answer on any of the ties from this movie, I know a few people here are friends with Lindy Hemming etc and I would love for one day for the Casino Royale tie debate to be put to bed once and for all!!

Ted Baker was involved in Casino Royale, they provided the store in the airport scene and provided other clothing (Mink Larked Linen Pants is 100% confirmed and poss the Return to the Bahamas pants) however ties??????

Whilst it's impossible to be certain, I'm pretty sure the Montenegro and train ties are, at least, Brioni.
With the Montenegro tie, I saw the same pattern, albeit a different colour, worn by staff in the Brioni store in London.
In terms of the train tie, what looks to be the same pattern, albeit a smaller design, is still available by Brioni.

Did not realise Train Tie was still available in some form.

I also had a hunch it was all Brioni and people getting carried away with the Ted baker tie-in. However I must admit the Montenegro tie is so damn shiny / glossy in some scenes / pics etc that i initially thought it seemed a bit "loud" for Brioni and more Ted Baker kinda style

I think Brioni is likely. Some current Brioni ties use similar patterns as the CR ties.
