    Well, obviously QoS. I do often feel alone liking that gem.
    I've defended it so often at other sites I just plain won't do it any more; I'll let people hate on it now, as I enjoy the Hell out of it. -{

    I think you will struggle to find someone whom has defended QoS more than I...its almost a running joke here -{

    Well it's a popular meme on the internet that Skyfall is overrated awfulness, but at least it's better than Quantum of Solace, at least according to spoof trailer for Skyfall (the people behind the spoof trailer throw a wobbly about Silva turning up halfway/two thirds of the way through the film, when it's happened before in a few other movies, like Dr. No). I kind of feel sorry for people (like RedLetterMedia) building their lives/careers around obsessive, boring nitpicking dressed up with awkward humour.

    Defending Fleming's Bond films to non Bond fans. OHMSS tops the list and having a one time Lazenby makes it that much harder (though personally I thought he did a solid job considering). Craig's films (except QOS, because there's nothing of Fleming to defend there). Non Bond fans prefer spectacle to real spy stories. Dalton's films for the same reason. Many of the series first films take a bit of defending to younger viewers because they date more (though I've found GF still seems to be the easiest for them to enjoy).

    I'd say its a tie between Skyfall, and any of the Dalton films.

    It used to be TMWTGG, but thanks to Bonds-for-tots I've been one of Dalton's public defenders more often. :))

    Definitely Tomorrow Never Dies, which ranks in my top 3 favorite Bond films. Its perhaps the last Bond film to not really dwell on Bonds flaws and personal dilemmas but rather focus on 2 hours of fun entertainment that doesn't take itself too seriously. Also it has a razor sharp pace that is maintained for most of the film, and not to mention some of the best action scenes from the series as well as Arnold's first and greatest Bond score.

    Quantum of Solace. I generally agree with the public consensus on the series, but the one that comes up most with critical discussion is Quantum of Solace and I don't think it deserves anywhere near the criticism that it gets.

    Second place would probably be DAF or YOLT.

    Tomorrow Never Dies. Never before have I so harshly defended anything. :)) I also love the Dalton films, and enjoy an occasional viewing of Quantum of Solace. Moonraker is also one of my favourite RM films. :v

    Quantum of Solace and Moonraker. Quantum is misunderstood and Moonraker is too harshly criticized at times. Both have major flaws but some people talk about them as if there is nothing of merit in either, which is dead wrong IMO.

    QoS....I think I prefer it to CR. And never understood why it got the flak it did.

    Great song and title sequence too :D

    I remember coming out of the theatre back in '97 feeling like I hadn't had THAT much fun seeing a Bond movie since YOLT in '74 (re-release).

    I have a list of these films I have defended on more than one of occasion
    From Russia with love
    On her majesty's secret service
    Moonraker
    A view to a kill
    Both of Timothy Daltons movies
    The world is not enough
    Die another day

    I have defended all these films because all I can see is positives in them like daltons films were gritty and action packed meanwhile die another day was modern and colourful with quite cool characters

    When people say that there's too much action, too much machine gun fire, it's too much an OTT 90's film, I really just want to remind them of this:

    You Only Live Twice. :))

    Ironically, I defend both TND and YOLT, chrisisall. :)

    My most-defended Bond film off this forum, simply because it's the only one my father and I radically differ on, is TLD. Closely following that, interacting with people other than Dad, it would be OHMSS, by a mile.
    By the way, are you gonna eat that?
