  My wife like it and watched it fairly often, a kind of "Chick flick" TV show.
  Although we both prefered "Angel" or Buffy".

  Ah yes. Charmed, Arron Sorkin (of Dynasty and Beverly Hills 90210 fame) attempting to jump on the Buffy bandwaggon in the late nineties!
  
  The series was not bad, but a change in a cast member (not saying who to avid spoilers) slightly hic upped the concept a little. Decent stories and good actors, but Charmed did have the problem of being a little unsure of where it was going or who its target audience should be. Later seasons started to feel a little tired as the series was struggling to come up with original ideas, but it wasn't bad.
