Do you sometimes take a hiatus from Bond?

Over the last year and a half give or take with the reveal of Skyfall's title to the release of the DVD/blu ray i've pretty much been on a Bond binge. Soaking up all things Bond, watching, talking, and listening to Skyfall constantly, not to mention buying everything from Heineken to Topman pants. I have since noticed that in the last month or so my Bond-binge has really subsided and it seems only natural that after the massive influx of Bond mania within the last year that it would eventually peak and then gradually decline. and I think its time to put Bond on the back burner for awhile too pursue my other interests. Does anybody have or done the same? or is Bond always at the forefront of your mind?

Have you ever seen one of those motorised or clockwork models of the solar system? Usually the Sun is a big orange light bulb in the middle?
Thhat is how I view all the Sci Fi formats I love. In my head I can be in Bonds world for a while, the Star Trek Universe next, perhaps Stargate SG1 and Atlantis, and then return to The Thunderbirds. Not just in the series / films either, but collectables and other items. There is no fixed pattern, no structure.
Imagination and creative things need room to grow and change, and moving amongst different forms and chop and change is an important part of that. Otherwise you'd make yourself sick of the one you have focused on!
Scuse me, the Gate is dialling!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    I've seen every Bond actor's non-Bond movies.

I find that I always can watch a Bond movie, but yes, I do go through phases where I will watch a whole lot of them, play all the games, and talk about Bond a lot more, and then I'll get into other things for a while. But, as I said, I am never too far away from Bond. Usually, the most time I spend away from watching a Bond movie is a month or so, just to insure that I don't watch so much of it that I begin to hate it.

Approximate time watching all the Bond films from Dr. No to Skyfall: 49 hours, 55 minutes or 2895 minutes! Or 50 hours!

I do it all the time..I have to..sometimes some of the arguments and discussions here make me reconsider Bond movies completely...bordering on trying to avoid them...then I watch them and realize why I fell in love in the first place.

Yes, I go for long periods sans Bond (outside my posts here). It has as much to do with my work (graphic design) and busy life as anything. Bond is and has always been a pleasurable diversion for me. Any more time spent I'm afraid would dull my interest a bit. For me it's only an enjoyable fictional universe to step in for a brief time, before reality rears it's ugly head.

Am very glad Sky bought the rights to the Bond movies, was heartily sick of having the same film on ITV1 twice a week, lending them the same vibe as Midsomer Murders or Miss Marple. I prefer them as occasional pleasures.

Agreed ITV got their moneys worth out of the Bond films. I never liked
the Bonds to be shown during the day except over christmas. :D
