Erm, Ok!
Initial impressions. -
TB1.2' flight deck looks traditional, TB2.2 and TB4.2's appears brand new. What little of TB3.2's looks dangerously like the 2004 film version. Very disappointed they have retained the 2004 Dangermouse options for FAB 1. The vehicles look good in motion (apart from flying FAB 1,) but they are clearly CG, as are their pilot cabins. It stands out a bit when compared to the set pieces, at least in this trailer.
The trailer itself brews caution in me. The look of the series seens good if prob it will be very fast paced. However, I have seen too many trailers for too many projects that promise a lot and then fail to deliver. (If you have ever seen "Honest Trailers" on Youtube you will know what I mean.) Mixed feelings at the moment.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
The only possibility I can think of since the car is in motion on a clear road, is if it is some weird variation of the hydrofoil mode. Possibly a havercraft mode?! But even that seems an insane stretch compared to the original car that didn't have to all these transformer wannabe gymnastics. On water or snow!
To misquote someone on the Fanderson Forum, why the hell could they have not just included FAB 2 and FAB 3* (comic version) for her ladyship to use!

Perhaps there is another possibility. The original FAB 1 did have the retractable machine gun. Is there a weapon of some kind about to emerge and be deployed?

Thunderbirds super-fan Reggie Yates is given exclusive behind the scenes access in the one-off documentary special on Thunderbirds Are Go, entitled 'Reggie & Thunderbirds: No Strings Attached'. Scheduled for broadcast on ITV2, Thursday 2nd April at 8pm.
It's weird how there is still no word on Jeff Tracy whatsoever. I'm now even starting to get worried if he's even in it!
There's no excuse not to include one of the key characters in there...
Other then that i'm still pretty positive about these series, very curious to see what the show will be like!
I also hope the opening credits will be similar or atleast pay some sort of homage to the original series. Like having a preview of the episode in the opening credits or something.
First look at the Tracy brothers. Plus new cast/characters revealed, to me at least. Sandra Dickinson is the voice of Grandma Tracy, Andres Williams (The Hood), Angel Colby (new character, Kayo), Adjoa Andoh (new character, Colonel Casey).

The new series of Thunderbirds Are Go premieres on ITV1 at 5pm on Saturday 4th April.
The adventures get under way as a powerful artificial seaquake strands a research team in an undersea lab, and the crew of the Thunderbirds must determine who caused it. Jeff Tracy is not on the cast list for the first episode.

8Hi everyone,
I can provide some insight to what is going on. Jeff is not in the series. It is confirmed in the words of head writer Rob Hogee. He took part in the online Q&A linked below. Mr Tracy is considered "Missing in action."
It would seem this has been deliberately created as an ongoing story arc for the series, woven into the stand alone nature of the rescues. - Whether the Tracy Brothers will find their Father is a massive question mark. - This also confirms speculation about the cast, and David Graham's (Parker) seemingly odd comment that he thought the character of Jeff is not in the show. This does not rule out the idea he could br brought in later on.
SPOILER ALERT!! There are other elements, questions and speculation raised that have been confirmed or clarified in the Q&A.
Den of Geek interview with the voice cast of Thunderbirds Are Go. They are questioned (amongst other things) about their characters, the differences between the original and the new Thunderbirds, and if the series has an arc or standalone episodes.

DFinger? DFinger where are you?! It's great!! {[]
Guys I absolutely love it!
As a big fan of the original show, I went into this hoping for the best. I do not like the new Abrahms Star Trek films and I was gutted beyond belief 10 years ago that Working Title could get their Thunderbirds film so badly wrong. (And that's a fact!) Plus, try as I did to enjoy it, I found CGI Capt Scarlet lacking compared to Scarlet-TOS.
Everything is here. The characters, the vehicles, the concepts and what they all stand for. Yes in certain shots the CGI looked a bit odd, but the pieces have come together spectacularly well. The voice cast did a great job with their characters, the story was engaging, the model set pieces are amazing, but most important of all, the people who have made this series have put in a lot of hard work, dedication and even love into this show. That feature length story is the one we should have had a decade ago, and here it is, headlining a new tv series!
Two gripes.
1) I hope we don't get "the numbers" with every single launching as the series goes on. That will grate.
2) this programme deserves to retain its Saturday teatime slot on ITV1, regardless the Skybox and TiVo options.
If this is what we can expect on a weekly basis, I am unbelievably happy. Thunderbirds Are Go is a wonderful creation, it stands respectfully on the shoulders of TOS, and the people who made it. It salutes the other Anderson series in subtle and clever ways, and I'd even go so far to say, it even exceeds some aspects of classic Thunderbirds.

Sorry for the late reply TB2, I am now just watching the first episode at this moment and had to pause to come to this thread to let you know how spectacular I already found it to be! Only to find out that you (of course) already saw it for yourself!
I'm going to continue watching this now, but I can't believe the amount of nostalgia that comes back from a brand new show! Amazing
Well now that I watched the full first episode (both part 1 & 2) and let it sunk in a bit, I can share my thoughts a bit more on it.
I absolutely love the direction they took this in, I honestly think the kids of today are going to love this, but there's enough for the fans of the orginal series to enjoy as well, and there's so much nostalgia. The launch sequences are top notch, (You're right about the countdown everytime though TB2, that's also a bit to much for me...) When Scott was getting ready to fly the TB1 my entire childhood came back to me, as a little three year old he was already my favorite and so was TB1, seeing this as an adult now, it still got me excited! Ah the nostalgia, it helps that the Thunderbirds look so similar to their original counterparts! Pretty much every shot is eye candy, the CGI looks a lot better than expected, it's colorful and the voice acting is pretty descent as well. (Great to hear Graham voicing Parker once again!)
It is however all a LOT more fast pacing than the original series, which got the build up to the tension extremly right. But I think a faster pace was the only way to go for a modern-day audience, so they probably did the best thing here.
- Some really minor fan nitpicking:
- The colors of the uniforms of the Tracy brothers COULD have been like the original colors, but I do understand that they went with the same colors as their respective Thunderbirds this time. It does make more sense sure, but I guess i'm just so used to seeing Virgil with the yellow and Alan in white etc... But no big deal of course...
- John seems to be weightless all the time in Thunderbird 5, which also makes sense, but I do like how there was gravity in the original TB5. When you think about it, when John gets back to earth he would need months of recovery to get used to weight again. :P - I also wonder if they will let John switch shifts with Alan like they did in the original series, but again I'm just being fan nitpicky here...
- Is Brains all of the sudden from Indian Descent now? It kind of looks like he is now, which is fine, but ... weird?
- Kayo being named Kayo instead of Tin-Tin. She's clearly supposed to be Tin-Tin, her surname is even Kyrano and the Hood is her uncle, all like Tin-Tin in the original series. So, why change the name? ?:) - the even make it seem like she's a whole new character... But her background certainly seems to be no different.
