Favorite Roger Moore Trademarks (Happy Birthday, Sir Rog!)

Since it is his birthday, I figured we can all share our favorite trademarks of one of the best Bonds!

Personally, I'm a fan of the eyebrow raise. Classic Moore, classic Bond.

"I'm in no hurry. Arre yoooou?" *Raises eyebrow*
"Better luck next time... slugheads!"

    The smile he gives Naomi when he realises she's piloting Stromberg's helicopter.... Like a shark's grin :007)
    "How was your lamb?" "Skewered. One sympathises."

    He did that grin in M's office in TMWTGG as well :))

    His way of speaking is a trademark for me, very well spoken which is how Fleming imagined Bond to be
    Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"

    " I don't listen to hip hop!"

    His nonchalance, such as the moment in OP when he says to Kamal "It's all in the wrist", without even looking at the dice!
    "Felix Leiter, a brother from Langley."

    Maybe not a trademark but one of my favorite moments:

    The look of Bond after M says: "You have exactly .. minutes to get properly dressed 007" in AVTAK

    Not a trademark but my favourite Moore-moment is when he throws the pin into the car at Locque then kicks the car over the cliff.

    Also from the same film

    [Bond walks into a Greek Confessional Booth]

    James Bond: "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned."

    Q: "That's putting it mildly, 007!" :))
    "Thank you very much. I was just out walking my RAT and seem to have lost my way... "

    Sir Roger has had many great moments as Bond. One of my favourites happens in LALD. When he's told how to kill a croc by stabbing it with a pencil. You can see him move his hand up to check his breast pocket for one. :))

    My all-time favorite Moore scene is the auction in OP, when Bond tortures Fanning by playing the game of chicken with Kamal. This is Rog at his witty, ballsy best.
    Hilly...you old devil!

    Cheers. Happy Birthday Sir Rog.

    Hard to chose my favorite moment but for now I will say Octopussy pre-title when he coasts the Aerostar jet to the gas station and tells the attendant "Fill 'er up please." :)

    His smiles he exchanges with Jaws.

    As you said, such good sport.

    Too many to count. Sir Roger, you are the man -{

    Not exactly a trademark, but I have to concur with something hehadlotsofguts already brought up: Moore's voice. I think Sir Rog has the absolute best speaking voice of all the Bond actors. It's deep and smooth, charming yet commanding. Shame he never did the narration for any of the Fleming audiobooks.

    Roger Moore is simply superb as Bond. Totally different to other incarnations & rightly so. He's much-maligned & completely under-rated. He also delivers a line which always makes me laugh out loud. To Solitaire's request to indulge in Lovers' Lesson No. 3 before their big escape bid, Bond replies, "Absolutely. There's no sense in going off half-cocked." Juvenile it may be, but Moore delivers it with such a brilliant straight-face it makes me grin like a big kid. Happy birthday indeed, Sir Roger!

    My favorite Moore trademark is his "Thank you". Which beautifully started in LALD, when a gang threw him in an alley to rough him up and he replied "Thank you!"

    I liked it when he thanked Corrine Dufour for (unintentionally) helping him with the safe.

    His timing and delivery of a line was always brilliantly delivered.
    One of my favourites was in TMWTGG when Saida realises she has lost her charm.... "Not from where I'm standing" replies Bond - always the ladies man. Brilliant! -{

    I've always liked:
    - Drax : You seem to have missed, Mr. Bond.
    Bond: Did I?

    - Dr.Goodhead : You just found her.
    Bond : a woman...
