Breaking the "No Sex" rule about Bond and Moneypenny?

It's quite clear in SF that Bond and Moneypenny had spent some "quality time" together :v , thereby breaking the Golden EON Rule that they shouldn't.

Now, I accept that it's been 50 years between the start of the Bond franchise and SF's release, and Babs and Mikey want to bring Bond well into the 21st Century. However, I'm interested to know - are some people here amused, surprised, or maybe outraged with this break in tradition?

Discuss.

I remember reading that L Maxwell always played the role as if she
and Bond had had a fling before the films and were now friends. So
this could be played the same way. :)

I actually think that they don't have a cuddle after she shaves him. I was watching that scene yesterday and thought, if you're gonna go in for a snog this is the moment.....when they don't I think the moment is lost. The flirtatiousness is there as it was in the 1960s, but just no sex!

I agree. I got the distinct impression that they did not do the deed. I might be wrong, but the fact that different viewers got different impressions means it was anything but clear that they spent "quality time" together.

Nothing happened after she rebuffed his advances. But we can be sure that there will still be flirtatious behavior based on his greeting of her at the end of the film. That's the impression I got.

The whole Bond/Moneypenny relationship is based on the great unknown-but-highly-suggested did they/didn't they. I think SF has perpetuated this and the fact that even people on this board are debating it suggests they succeeded.
