The Bond Films: What Would You Have Wished Had Happened?

What would you have wished had happened regarding previous films? Personally i would've liked Michael Kamen to have found a way to work LTK's theme song into the score a la Barry. I wonder how that would've sounded. I also would've had the original written ending of Blofeld's demise to be filmed.

I'd have liked Arnold's songs used as the main title themes for TND, DAD, QoS. The order of the films to have been closer to the novels. More films by some directors, less from others (and less could mean none in some cases).

Wish Felix was in Skyfall.
Wish Dalton got one more film. Property of a Lady in 91 would have been awesome.
Wish Diamonds are Forever was a proper continuation of OHMSS.

Yes, I feel sorry for Dalton as he got a bad deal because of the writers strike. By the time the strike finished, Tim had lost interest in the role. A third film with Tim would've been interesting.

"I Will Return". He started work on the song with Don Black writing the lyrics, but abandoned it once told Madonna would be committing , er, contributing her effort.

John Barry to do the music for DN
OHMSS to be filmed before YOLT with Connery playing Bond.
The keelhauling scene from FYEO to be at the end of LALD as per the novel with Kananga being killed in a less cringeworthy way
The dual between Bond and Scaramanga to be tense and exciting plus less Nik Nak and J W Pepper
MR to be totally changed
Dalton to take over from OP so that OP and AVTAK have less stupid humour
Elliot Carver recast
No invisible car in DAD plus no Madonna theme
QOS to be a proper follow on from CR with the script to the same standard
In general a hell of a lot less John Glenn

What was Blofeld's death in the origional script? I would really like to know

Frogmen would plant limpet mines on the rig(Explains why they are on the official avertising posters) , Blofeld would try to escape in his bathosub with Bond in pursuit on a weather balloon. The chase would continue to an abandoned salt mine and Blofeld would be killed in a salt crusher.

Every time I watch TB. At the end when Bond attaches the cable to himself which is connected
To the balloon, he let's the cable slip under his arm, which I'm sure would cause a bad injury.
It's only a little point but it bothers me every time I watch it.

I wish the stuntmen in some of the films could look a bit more like the Bond they were standing in for.

Not so much of an issue in the early films, as Bob Simmons was physically much like SC, and in the most recent ones with Ben Cooke standing in for DC, but in some scenes in Octopussy and AVTAK, it was so clearly not Sir Roger that any suspension of disbelief went out the window.

At least one more Dalton film.. though really Goldeneye basically is so I am not going to complain all that much there.

Die Another Day.... I wish the last half matched the first half. Probably the best first half of any Bond film only to become THAT.

A much better story editor and writer for Skyfall... or simply that a different film had occured instead of that. I have never been so disappointed in a Bond film and probably film for me personally. Luckily for it, Dexter season 8 exists and I can't say it's the most disappointing thing I've ever seen <_<

I would've liked Lazenby to actually imitate George Baker's voice on his own without the use of dubbing. The payoff would've been that Bond would've been caught out because his accent when impersonating sir Hilary would've slipped. It would've been better than the scenes we got with Bond arranging sex appointments with the girls. The dubbing used was too distracting for me.

It's just something that's occurred to me when reading a topic on mi6,com.

The main wish I had as a Bond fan was for Timothy Dalton to have done more movies. For example could you imagine him as Bond in Goldeneye and what that would have been like with his portrayal of Bond?

For Lazenby to do more, Diamonds are forever being a Gritty, Revenge Film with Bond strangling Blofeld to Death like in the You Only Live Twice Novel.

That CR wasn't a reboot, but just a normal mission or a comeback from DAD, then the gunbarrel was what I think the same and on his old place. But it's different time so they should kept gun gunbarrel like the way it is right now.
