Ok for those who don't know, I'm reviving my sad geeky Star Trek side.

Been looking through tinterweb n found a company called polar lights make a huge 1/350 scale model of the enterprise-a.

I wondered if you could get a 1/350 enterprise-e. You can get a company to make one for $10k, but one guy has made his own.

A whopping 77" in length, plus it looks like it's illuminated too.

Truly this is one of the best examples of chasing the dream. This guy, whoever he is must have some serious balls and drive to do this, massive kudos to him for doing what looks to be a brilliant job of it.

There is nothing sad or geeky about being a Trek fan; I've been one nearly all my life. And while I don't have a high end version of the Enterprise-A (yet), my brother and I did get our hands on one of the Master Replicas TOS USS Enterprise a couple of years ago. This was one of MR's last items before it went belly up so you don't see too many of these around.

So from one Trek fan to another, best of luck on snagging that Enterprise-A. I also believe QMX replicas offer a high end version for around $7000 (https://store.qmxonline.com/Enterprise-Refit-Artisan-Replica_p_135.html); that's a bit too rich for me right now but I always keep looking.

Oh my God! If that is a replica its a damned good one, judging by the detailing, mount stand and size that could he the actual filming miniature of the EE used in First Contact! Only the cables sticking out the starbiard side suggest othwrwise.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Believe the motion control 'miniature' for FC was 12' in length mate. This one at 77" is about half that size.

If I remember rightly, FC was the last Trek film to utilise models for filming, and there after most shots were achieved with CGI.

It's a shame really, as many skilled and dedicated designers and model makers lost out to a computer.
