I came across this post on Reddit where a modding company called SKXmod has tried an old G757 case with a Casio LF-20 module:
They say they're thinking about producing it and I must say it'd be a definite purchase from me if they do! I'd love a day-to-day wearable G757 lookalike (obviously I know the AE1200 but I'd like something a bit closer)
Glad it's not just me! π Looks like they're already producing various upgrades for other Casio models and are in the progress of making a new case to fit the LF-20 so it mimics another 1980s Casio model (the AE210W: this is on Reddit and for some reason I can't paste the links to it here- they just sort of disappear) with photos of the prototype, so fingers crossed they keep going with this one.
The post on Reddit is called 'Surprisingly fitted, another potential kit for LF-20' so if you google that phrase you should find it.
Here's their website if you want to keep an eye on it: skxmod.com

Obviously the module isn't the same as the Seiko one, but it doesn't look too far off at all to me, plus you get world time functionality!
So, inspired by the new yet to be released Seamaster (above), I thought I’d try a Milanese bracelet on an old favourite. I know a lot of people don’t like these bracelets but I do. I find them stylish and comfortable.
This bracelet is a £50 eBay special, all the way from China. I also have an Omega original on a different Seamaster and this one actually compares really well. No sharp or rough edges, even along the edge of the strap. It doesn’t taper like the original but the quality is definitely there. I’d say 80% - 90% of the quality, 97% of the look for 5% of the price. I’m impressed.

The Omega countdown timer at the top of the page shows a no-date Seamaster in much closer detail….
Interestingly, it shows some red font on the dial whereas the watch worn by DC at the Olympics did not. It could of course just be an artistic impression…

I love the original Planet Ocean, but this one gives it a run for its money. Going to be hard to resist... π¬
If it were 40mm that sounds pretty perfect.
