I know how few watches they make, that they are in the 'finest' category of watchmakers and that the watch pictured above is somewhat more expensive than 'your' Uhwerk. :007)
You mentioned that you hate Hublot Higgins, but I think it's impossible to hate this watch here - Hublot LaFerrari, 300k$, crazy design in my opinion in a positive way!
I know the La Ferrari watch.
While technically interesting - I don't find it visually much pleasing.
Parmigiani made something similar previously and I did not like it as well

That watch is certainly...um...something. Looks like an overly blinged out bomb that Roger Moore's Bond has to diffuse. $300K would be better spent on a house (or at least the down payment for one).
Anybody got any love for or experience of the Tudor Pelagos?
I know it's not a Submariner but I like the more contemporary look of it, coupled with the titanium case and bracelet and helium escape valve.
Altogether, I think it looks a quality, understated timepiece.
Tudor introduced yesterday the blue Pelagos and both variants - also the black dialed version - will get the new Tudor manufacture movement for a slightly higher price.
Imo, it's absolutely worth the wait though the dial is a bit over-written imo:

That's totally unnecessary.
I see him like an obese stupid kid which has some bright moments during the year full of insanity and am happy to guide him thru these rare moments of common sense as a rolemodel for the good.

The best thing that Rolex introduced this year, is the 3255 movement.
Meh, not sure.
The decoration of the new movement is not really nice and even Rolex has a record of not-totally-perfect introductions in new movements.
For the moment, it's only available in the DD and some other flagship models, let's wait until the first mistakes are rooted out and the movement is covering the entire range.

Holden, what do you think: Are the new Tudor and Rolex movement based on the same platform?
