    You could by an Aston Martin for the price they're going for now. Ridiculous. I bought my Comex Sub and a military Sub with non RM bezel back in 97 for £5500. That's for both of them :o

    Wow crazy really!!

    In all seriousness sometimes I think I would be happy to go vintage, flog my lot and go with a nice 5513 and McQueen Explorer, however I suppose variety is the spice of life -{

    Rolex don't really float my boat but that one above has got the juices flowing. Would love a Mcqueen Explorer as well.

    Yeah I love the McQueen Explorer. I know the nickname is often criticised since McQueen has never been seen with one however maybe it was simply nicknamed that because it is so damn "cool" :))

    There was a picture posted recently of one but I can't find it now...
    Personally, I think the NATO strap works best with a black dial/bezel not blue.

    You can pick up decent 5513's every now and then for the price of a new Submariner Date. I love my vintage Subs, but you can't wear them carefree like you do the newer ones.

    Well I never. I though there were loads of pics of him with one? Or am I confusing it with his Sub? :s

    Sub - a 66 5512 I believe
    Instagram - bondclothes007
  • HoldenHolden UKPosts: 664MI6 Agent
    The 5512 Submariner is 'the' McQueen watch (other than the Heuer Monaco in 'Le-Mans').

    Don't think he was ever seen wearing an Exp II
  • welshboy78welshboy78 Posts: 10,320MI6 Agent
    Wasnt the Heuer simply worn as a accurate period watch for the film? Believe inbetween takes he is pictured with his Sub back on the wrist!!
