Here's the link to the 2 homage watches: http://www.helenarou.com/40mm-size-wat40.html

I've read some not great things about this watch, though.

Finally got a Bond watch. I'm very lucky to have both a moon watch and one of the watches from QoS, so I think my watch lust is satisfied for the time being.

Thanks!! It's this watch; mine dates back to sometime in the 90's I believe, though I would have to check the paperwork.

Found this on another forum - thought it looked pretty nifty on a black NATO

Yeah, I don't know its rep, but the strap seemed like a decent stand-in for Connery's NATO.

I bought one of these. The idea being to display it as a Goldfinger watch when it inevitably broke down. They will sell it if requested with some very accurate markings... ;)

The edges of the case feel a little sharp but the strap is both accurate and good quality. I've had it for a few years now and not only has it not yet broken down it has also proved to be VERY accurate.
I'd say it was pretty good value for the money. I use mine a lot as a tool watch in order to try and date the case a little. I did have somebody 'age' the dial for me, it looks brand new from the factory.

And yes, I am fully aware it is fake. It is not of the same quality as my 14060M Submariner but it is proving to be as accurate and robust and I cannot afford a real 6538 and even if I could, I'd be VERY wary of wearing it!

    What the frack?!? :s

Fugly doesn't begin to describe it, Welshie. What an odd two-toned watch/bracelet. Are those alternating gold/ss links? :#

Is that a loop provided to examine the watch in detail? I don't think I'd want to see it magnified.

I do like the canvas strap with deployment buckle. I see they aren't including a Bond Nato.

Its all SS - just the light reflecting making it look two tone.

This is the Ltd Edition jobby that won't be in the film (I presume) though he does wear what looks like another blue AT at some point

And no, I am not gonna buy it! ;%

Glad it's not two-tone. But all the 007 branding has never appealed to me.

That watch looks absolutely spectacular, especially in its natural habitat. Definitely one of my must haves.

Lucky me I just received the below in the post. Don't you just love Omega marketing!!
I guess I get to have a closer look at the AT than just gawping through the window! Which by doing so it grew on me immensely

    Cheers :-)

Digging through some old boxes the other day I discovered a saved 'Bond Special' of Arena magazine from December 1999. The following Watch pictures were inside in the photoshoot which is still very cool and still reminds us that the Omega Seamaster 300 SMP is a true beauty. Enjoy.

A little late with this post - apologies if anyone had wanted to buy it! This 6538 was in Christies NY sale a couple of weeks ago. I was lucky enough to see it in the metal beforehand...

    image.jpg

Hammer price in the end was an amazing $269,000 !!!!!

£172,000!!! Good grief!!! I had to check your link, I thought you'd made a mistake. :s
I spotted at least 3 of these in Burlington Arcade last week, without prices on them.
    But a very nice watch!!

I really don't like Omega and will never buy one......

Am I the only one looking forward to them going in another direction? Back to Rolex or Tudor, Tag, something else?? :s

Omega aren't going anywhere. Their relationship with EoN is air right and one of the best and profitable partnerships between tge two. Fortunately all the Omega models that have adorned Bond's wrist for the past 20 years are excellent pieces so I for one hope the partnership continues for years to come.

Tudor would be great for Bond in my opinion. Smart, sophisticated, understated but an underlying waft of excellence to those in the know. Love the new Tudor pelagos in blue face with the new tudor in-house movement.
