I am a big fan of 116610 as I like the new slide clasp and ceramic bezel etc. If you can afford to keep both I would do but the 16610 will probably bring anything from around 3-4 K depending on condition, box and papers , provenance etc. As Higgins quite rightly says if its been polished to death over the years and the lugs are thin, get rid. If its just an honest watch with a few battle scars I would keep it. This is based simply on the fact that I have regrettted selling every watch that I ever did. Sold stuff for next to nothing that would be worth a few quid now. Post some pictures of the 16610 and let us have a look, it might help you out on your decision.
By the way, forgot to mention that Biver is also the man supposedly responsible for putting an Omega on Mr Brosnan's wrist...

It's interesting what you say about Hublot and AP. I was killing some time (no pun intended) in Watches of Switzerland a week or so back and they had them both next to each other in the display cases. I thought then that they looked very similar. -{

You buy a watch with the band attached. You can find these easily, pretty much anywhere and remove the band/strap. Watches without the strap are harder to find.
Does anyone know where to find watches without the band? Particularly a Rolex Sub case?
They don't show up too often and there are no particular places to look for them.
But you should rather buy a strong cased Sub with bracelet instead of a polished down watch without bracelet.
Single bracelets reach pretty good results on ebay when sold alone.

How is the handstack of your watch - where is the GMT hand?
