Thanks Skippy for the answer. I'll have to check out my local Omega AD and see what bands they have in stock.

I'm sure Higgins will clarify, but that's not a NATO strap by the looks of it - no keepers and the pins look stitched in. A lovely classic model, harking back to the classic Connery era though, but I'm surprised you've chosen not to go with the SM300 for your premiere.

Enjoy your German Spectre Day Markus - I kind of envy you for not knowing about all that the movie has to offer - I can't un-see Spectre now, so I'll not have that anticipation again when watching it in the future.

The Commander is correct. It's a Maratac Composite Strap.
Maybe later I'll skip to the Omega Nato Strap. I have a couple of them and don't like the way the keepers stick out and the clasp is not centered :#

And thanks for the good wishes, I'll surely have a lovely evening together with Mrs. Higgins clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

I know what you mean about the off-centre buckle on the Omega NATO (and on the actual NATO too) - it can actually be a bit uncomfortable after a while on the wrist. However, this is what you must put up with for the sake of fashion/screen accuracy, but remember (I'm sure you know Higgins) that the NATO was designed with an over-length strap so it could be worn on the outside of your clothing, over a flying jacket or over a wetsuit etc. The 'RAF strap' is similar to the NATO, but doesn't have the fixed keeper so you can centre the buckle if you wish.

There's also a bespoke leather NATO (or G10) strap made where the strap is of the right length to mean that the buckle is centred on your wrist too: http://www.vintagewatchstraps.com/NATOG10.php#designs

(no link to the vendor by the way, and you'll need either curved pins or an older watch to fit the leather strap).

I like it. Its what I wear at work most the time. That and the regular rubber strap and bracelet, but since I have to refinish the bracelet so frequently I do the nato strap.

OK, Duke of SPHINCTER - have been following your order and posted a short review in the Spoiler Section {[]

All in all a solid movie - better that SF but not as good as CR. I was not very much impressed about the second half and the end :#

Have been in the Omega Hamburg Boutique yesterday.

They are now asking EUR 200 (!!) for a NATO - I seem to remember EUR 150ish.

    Has there been an increase?

In March I also paid EUR 200 for the NATO in the Hamburg Boutique.
So, if they have increased the price in the past, that dates back several month.

Today's contribution - the most under-appreciated Rolex Submariner:

16800 (and I know that Dalton wore one in LTK X-( )

I wish that they'd done something similar with the GMT - matte dial and saphire crystal!
